@@bardistass I feel you man! Have always liked Ronaldinho and R9. We've been blessed to see them play and to see poetry in motion! I was living in Paris when Dinho played for PSG. I remember his ever present smiles on the face even when fouled by opponents. Never really got into liking other players other than them though there are some talented players out there.

Great Goals are Gone …..Yes it has, Why ? Because These crop of footballers are just talent less that is why the superstars stand out it’s just about the Money NOT the Love for the Game ( Ronaldo R9 ,zidane ,Roberto Carlos , Messi ,Neymar , tevez ,aguero ,benzema ,Saha,Denielson,crouch, Alan shearer,Gerard, just to name a few . But it's still crazy to think of the quality of players you had then and what you've got now and some of the crazy moments and score lines. I just wanted Ole to succeed and win a trophy.

Instead of people blaming pep for lack of individual brilliance, while its coaches like moyes, mourinho, simeone etc that are killing football without the negative tactics, park the bus and hope for the best. Possession play/system is managers answer to playing against negative teams that just want to sit deep in their own box and hope for a draw

Tbh there is some truth behind it. I miss the days of watching showboat segment on soccer am, lots of skills on show. We just don’t see it much anymore. Such a shame

Solo skill and mazy dribbling runs is what i miss the most. Years ago in the 90’s you would have for example a Roberto Baggio dance his way through players from the half way line. All that’s gone now. Too robotic. Everyone stays in their zones. Pass pass pass that’s all it is. We still see the odd screamer but nowhere near as much.

I disagree with modern style kills individual brilliance, or in this case great goals. Remember when Alex Ferguson said about CR7 long time ago ? ... Fergie was finishing his work in the office, heard ball's kicking. He found out young Ronaldo still training after everyone gets home. And this also verified by Nicky Butt who said, Fergie often have to force young Ronaldo to stop doing extra training. Those crazy dribbling pass player by young Ronaldo, and also crazy long shot & free kick, is because young Ronaldo dedicated himself to become better. Ask this to modern young footballer. How many of them stayed behind in the training ground, doing 1, 2, 3 or 4 extra hours to honed their dribbling, their passing, their shooting ?

The difference is cr7 used to 10 step overs for the camera then pass it so in my opinion thats useless...messi beat 4 players and puts it in top bins....if your world class you should be able to do both..

Good dribbling should always be used to open up space for your teammates. Drags the opposition towards you to free up others. Good dribblers should always work on their passing skills also.

Everyone has to be cautious because city are the best and you have to try and be perfect to beat them - unfortunately long range pile drivers offer a very low percentage chance of scoring compared to maintaining possession and working up a better chance

Goldbridge is 100% spot on. Was saying last season when in the Championship you even see it in that league. Pep ball has infested English football all playing the same systems and the slow possession play. Can't wait for the day Pep leaves English football to be honest.
