That thing looks like it was pulled out of a time capsule! Perhaps the most brittle piece on those 86s were the interior door handles. I swapped mine out every few years before I ended up having one milled out of aluminum.

That AE86 interior is identical to the AE86 I had years back. It had an SR in it, and it needed some work to be solid and I didn't know enough back then to tackle the job since I was dailying it and I traded it for a stupid junk street bike. Definitely my biggest vehicle trade regret.

Carlos Garcia that seems like a really cool plan 👍🏻 Are engine swaps legal in your country ? If so you should consider to swap a 2.0 V6 from the mondeo. Those engines are probably quite cheap, small and sounds really great. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-S9p4MoZBYDY.html i mean listen to that This engine was used by Cosworth for the BTCC back in the late 90’s early 00’s, it’s the same engine as a Mazda KL series, which also came in 1,8 and 2.5 l variants. You can find those in the Mazda mx3 and the mx6. I think it would be a great swap if you can do it. Not too powerful but can handle around 300hp n/a with better heads and probably some work done to the headers.
