Hardly worst shot ever he wanted to get really tight to pink with cue ball but stun runned it to much and also cue ball lacked direction ,but pros normally make it look easy when its not
I have. He came to our snooker club for a special evening and we all had a chance to play against him. After a few shots, I had a go at a red (I'm pretty sure he set it up for me). I got the red and missed the black. Mark came to the table, scored a 117 break and that was that.
They did actually play each other at the 2017 Grand Prix and after a good break by Fu, King said 'that was a Fu King good break' much to the amusement of Fu and the audience.
I would like to see John Parrots updated commentary on this shot. "There's 3 things you do here. 1 play the pot, 2 play the safety, 3 deliberately throw the frame to earn a few quid".
I think the 20 grand he got just from being in the quarters would be better than anything he'd get from a risky bet. Anybody so confident as to place big money on somebody like Jamie Cope to win would arouse a lot of suspicion.
You make a very good point actually, but to be fair his body language and demeanour of it all looked genuine. Stephen Lee when he deliberately missed his acting skills were poor lol
i enjoyed reading through these comments, fun stories :) a buddy of me, really terrible pool player, once tried to screw back ( i think), completely queued over!! the white, the queue didn´t lose energy and he swung his queue up to the lights above the table :) now, that was a great shot!
snooker is more entertaining when the commentators have a strong opinion about things. I love it how John Parrot just criticizes the hell out of that shot.
If he didn’t fancy it and wanted to play safe he should’ve just played the containing safety by pushing the blue to the side cushion where it doesn’t pot. Obviously playing any kind of roll up when the pressure is on is tough and more chance of extra tension in the arm.
it wasn't quite such an easy snooker to get: if he'd hit the blue ball full ball it would have hit the pink. So he had to hit it less than full and judge the pace fairly precisely - too slow or too hard would fail.
I once skipped the cue ball right over the ball I was trying to hit when my opponent had the 8-ball. It literally jumped over the ball. My opponent immediately potted the 8-ball.
I was in a snooker match last week was 30 points infront down to the last 6 colours and i fouled 3 times in a row. After slaughtering all the reds off.
Looked to me that Mark had not made up his mind if he was going to play a snooker or pot as he stroke the ball. Can't be any other reason for that outcome.
hahahah !! I once hit my cue ball off my table and went to another table in the same room..ruining their game . I dont think they needed stitches after the fight...:P
I can't see the problem? I couldn't pot what he left ;-) I wonder if Mark King is aware the wonderful RU-vid algorithm has it's sights on him.....making sure history will never forget.
he got caught in 2 minds that happens sometimes while playing snooker. he was thinking of taking the pot on and also he was thinking to just tap the blue ball afew inches forward and leave the cue ball snug up behind the pink to snooker his opponent that's shy he ended up doing neither
@fade2black2610 Really? Came to do an exhibition at a local club and seemed a top bloke. Made time to chat to everyone. Spoke about going to gamblers anonymous amongst other things and seemed very genuine.
