Two-time NBA Champion Mark Madsen sat down with Andy in a Legends of Sport podcast interview to talk all about his time on the Lakers with Kobe Bryant and Shaq, winning back to back titles with the team, and how he bonded with his teammates through philanthropic endeavors.
Mark reflects on his rookie year with Kobe, securing the 2001 and 2002 championships for Los Angeles, and how the team would show up for each other to support one another no matter what. He also talks about charitable aspects of his time with Shaq participating in activities in the community whenever and wherever possible, and how that shaped him as a player and as a person.
Mark is currently the head coach at the University of California, Berkeley after working as the assistant coach of the Lakers and head coach for Utah Valley University.
