I met Mark in Montgomery Alabama on Alter Bridge’s 1st tour… The rest of the band met us but didn’t really hang much… Mark chilled with me and my friend(now band mate) for over half an hour just bsing and connecting on things we all like, such as fav guitarists. Man Mark is such a cool and humble guy… My buddy isn’t really a Creed or AB fan, but he digs Mark because of how cool he was with us… I hope to meet him again one day and get my PRS Tremonti signed 😊
@@WilAndersonYT That was an amazing show… Good raw band back then… More squeals/pinch harmonics too… What a time for music… I’d never give it up for anything in the world!
I met Mark years ago at a Alterbridge sound check. Was sitting by the bar and he came up and started talking to me about his family and life in general. Total class act and genuine nice guy. Left me very impressed with him, wish I had got to talk about guitars and amps a little more.
@@danymalsound yeah, I must admit I do like them. I like some Creed stuff (guilty pleasure), but not a huge fan. Seeing him and his role with regard Down Syndrome really made me regard him with so much respect.
@@dominicgibson9529I’m with you, I have a few creed songs I really like and I like a whole lot of Alter Bridge’s stuff too. I respect Mark because he’s so talented and multi faceted, guy is a Monster on guitar, prob the best backing vocalist ever, can be a front man and lead singer, and not to mention, the Sinatra stuff is also pretty dang cool. And obviously him starting and supporting the Down’s syndrome organization is also very respectable
I've met Mark a bunch of times - for the life of me, I could never imagine this guy being stressed or bad-tempered, he is so laid back, mellow and approachable, whilst also happy to talk shop and anything else that comes up. Definitely a good role model as a human being alone, let alone a great songwriter and guitarist.
Me and Mark have 1 thing in common. Neither one of us has any idea how to program our midi controllers after decades of using them. Thankfully we both have smarter people than us to do that for us.
Same here, unfortunately Im left handed so I dont own a Tremonti signature guitar (until they make a lefty version), but I own a PRS 277 and my main guitar I use is a Les Paul and I bought the Tremonti core pickups and put them in my Les Paul. Also have his morley wah pedal too. Waiting to have enough money to buy the MT15 amp. Its the smaller version of the MT100 thats seen here.
@@trfmusic902 Bro, right on. Yeah I wouldn't mind getting that MT15 as well. I use the Headrush Gigboard so don't really need it, but wouldn't mind having it.
I met Mark Tremonti at an Experience PRS event at the PRS factory. He had just played tunes from his debut solo project with Wolfgang Van Halen on bass. He is really a down to earth kind of guy, not pretentious at all.
You ain’t lying. Bummed they won’t because of his explanation that they would have to expand their shop just to be able to do it but hopeful for possibly in the far future even.
@@CFChristian Mark always uses two amps at once. He blends his MT-100 clean channel with the Synergy TDLX tube preamp. Which is based off a Fender clean. For his overdrive he uses the second channel of the MT-100 with the Synergy Morgan AC tube preamp. For his dirty heavy tones it’s the MT-100 red channel with the Synergy Soldano red channel tube preamp. Instead of Mark bringing four individual amplifier heads- which are heavy and must be in road cases, (he technically would need 8 heads- each one needs a backup) he can pack the four Synergy tube preamp modules including backups into just one compact rack case. Easier in terms of logistics, but more complicated in terms of using midi switching/pedalboard communicating with all the channel switching.
Thanks for giving us a peek inside the 2024 Creed Tour rig, and for continuing with all the Q&A. Mark is such an awesome guy, very accommodating to the fans. Getting bombarded by people at every stop has got to get old at some point, but Mark treats everyone like he realizes this is the highlight of their month and genuinely cares about making a meet & greet as awesome as possible. They say 'never meet your heroes' but if your guitar hero is Mark Tremonti, like mine is, then you're more than safe because he won't disappoint!
1:33 voltage in Indonesia. I know it all too well. I was surprised to hear him say that specifically. I've had a few things get trashed on our trips there.
Loved Mark and Creed, me and my college band used to cover Creed and Alter Bridge among other bands. Unfortunately I can't afford his signature guitar so I have to settle with a cheapo copy, but hey, at least it looks similar.
Great question on the Blue Collar intro to What's This Life For! Back in the day he always played that live. Actually a slightly longer version that what's on the Blue Collar record. Wish they would throw in some of the great B-sides from way back when too. Is This The End Bound and Tied To Whom It May Concern Young Grow Old...
My bro and I got VIP passes on the last Alter Bridge tour and I was really wanting this kind of experience, yeah, that didn't happen, was really disappointed.
So cool that you asked Mark about the BluGuitar AMP1 Mercury & Iridium Edition ! If he (Mark or any other serious artist) wants to try it, send us an email!!! We want to help to make guitarists life better... ;-) Greetings, Thomas Blug
I agree that he should put his name back on the 12th fret.. if other bands dont wana use his model because of it, thats their loss & perogitive.. he was the 2nd guy ever to have a sig.model and he should be proud of that, cause hes definitely earned it and deserves it. I loved the look of that 12 fret name on it. Its one of the unique things that made it his guitar..
I have an RJM Mini Amp gizmo which allows me to use Mesa amps w/Midi... (unfortunately, it's been discontinued) If this was a pre-concert VIP thing, you guys got your $$$$ worth, Mark seems like an awesome down to earth dude.
Hi Mr Woodchuck, so Tremonti is using the Ampete 442 to combine the MT100 CH1, CH2 and CH3 channels w/ Mesa 4x12 #1 cab and the Synergy SLO2 CH3, Morgan CH2, and TDLX CH1 w/ Mesa 4x12 #2? CH1 clean, CH2 OD, CH3 heavy? Thanks Rockit
She asks to play the intro of this song ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-n7v-e-zIieQ.htmlsi=nT7FOLERSC0sOzCy That intro is not there in the studio version of What's this Life For but it's in some other version (Blue colour record version I think)
I was working for PRS when they made the first Stella. For the life of me I can't find a pic I had of the raw body sitting on a table in the bodies area.
@@infinidominion Yeah he was going for an explorer look. Stella is his kids name. This was almost 10 years ago but to memory was a three piece body. The front it like a flipped Custom 24 with the headstock flipped as well. I got a USA Tremonti for my 2 years of service guitar. Got to pick out the wood and color. Just had to pay cost of materials. Labor charges and markup waved.
I hate those mysterious resonant sympathetic frequencies that seem to resonate weirdly only at certain points, then adjustments(just changing something like strings, action, intonation, truss tension, etc) do eliminate them for the most part.
@@barneychamorro constantly on the fence if I should buy one. It's hard for me to justify when I already have a Bogner Uberschall Rev Green and 2 channel Dual rectifier which is the original Tremonti setup.
Ahh that sucks he forgot how to Play that intro to what’s this life for but then again I could’ve swore he done it on the cruise the feedback to these shows have been phenomenon
😮😮WHEN DID PRS START MAKING AN EXPLORER MODEL??!!??🤯🤯🤯 Edit: I just looked it up. Damn shame...but , yeah. PRS isn't gonna carve out a corner of the factory. Buuuuut... MAYBE.....now that they're dealing regularly with CorTek to make their SE line, they wouldn't NEED to alter their floor plan. I'd imagine CorTek probably already HAS the capability to create this....
Is this women actually asking him to play something he’s not familiar with and pulled it up on her phone?? 😂😂 Karen “Freebird” Ridiculous request of the decade!
