I'd place a strong wager that all of Marks son's have had snooker etiquette groomed into their souls by the age of 4. At least give the kid the top rung of the stairs. He knows to keep quiet and still. It would have made a great camera shot too. This guy was/is the defending champion here. If anybody should have the run of the joint it should be him.

Google "The mandela AFFECT" notice how google will auto-correct it to EFFECT do that same thing with "the butterfly AFFECT", it will autocorrect to EFFECT again. He had given away his two back stage passes to his Manager and a friend. Obviously Mark forgot about his son needing a pass. Only two passes, per player are allocated. Reason, ever man and his dog would be back stage, and security is an issue knowadays.

Down to earth awesome father loves the flesh of his kiddies bones this guy and the wee lad cant run up to dad and wrap hes wee legs around his dads wishing him good luck. The poster thing is ALWAYS something I look at I always see who's been placed on a poster and in what popularity order this poster thing is actually very dear to the champion. And I agree again with Mr Williams. My middle two names actually are Mark Williams. James Mark William Wade. Yeah I know the irony. I hardly even think of that while watching this guy shoot. A fine vintage wine of a player. Why are these business end people so plastic inside.

Williams doesn't say a lot, and when he does say something, you can take it and believe it. The game has lost credibility with the public, no consistency from the ungoverning body, wpbsa, some plays shown favouritsm, others castigated, I will never pay to watch snooker again, at any level. Only the people can make a voice, stand up and be counted, stop talking and start chalking, get behind the people who matter, the players.

well for start they need a new head man with ideas and that can attract bigger and better sponsors. 2nd they an inovative team to help pull it out of its rut. 3rd they need to make the GAME more attractive to the youth as in Dublin there is only a handful of snooker halls left dunno about the rest of the world. how do they do this is a good question. They need characters for sure most of the circuit is boring t hell in interviews and even more so to watch, but that's just my cents

@@gabrielc6252 In my opinion and i love snooker I play it everyday that the heads of world snooker are not doing enough to make the GAME more popular allot of the players are unhappy with prize money and Barry. I agree the standard of snooker is better now a days but it doesn't translate to tv. whilst barry will tell you everything is on the up I only know 2 or 3 people to watch the snooker these days when i was younger everyone would watch it. of course that's just my 2 cents but i think a fresh approach some new blood to run the organisation would be great

Mark Williams is the best touch player snooker has seen. He plays with style and has a bit of character and charisma about him. He's not a robot which is why he'll always fall foul of the governing body and their lackies. Shame on them.

It's such a shame that such a world class talent is subjected to being treated like a nobody particularly when he is making the likes of Barry Hearn into a billionaire. Frankly I was quite surprised that Mark played the set after what those idiots did to his son. Ok so he is complaining about it now at a press conference, but he should have made a stand when it happened. Whats more important...a game of snooker or showing his boy that there are principles that you must stand up for, no matter what the cost? And before everyone start shouting "Oh he has a living to make" Remember that he was talking retirement before his world championship win..so he must be in a reasonable financial position. I like Mark Williams, but I am disappointed in his actions concerning this matter.

The Crucible is a nice venue but its way too outdated for the needs of the game now. The public can can barely get tickets and the ones that do don't even show up half the time. Move it to something bigger.
