Lovely vintage footage - just proves that needlework is timeless, the information is still relevant 😍 I’ve always wanted to try using the pearl cotton. If I was to stitch a monochromatic sampler, 1 over 2 on linen, would I use a 12 or an 8? Thank you
I'm not sure I can give you a good answer here as I am not a fan of using Pearl Cotton for cross stitch. I have used it for specialty stitches and love it for that purpose. In general, a number 12 is about the same weight as two strands of floss.
Which pearl cotton weight would equate to two strands of regular dmc thread on 14, 16 or 18 count Aida? I might try a low count linen soon, but I'm not quite there yet ( because Aida is cheaper, but mainly because I've really just started stitching again and it's easier).
