I like your "bite size" format demonstrating a few features at a time, unlike some American who promotes "G" products and does videos showing the complete menu of features at one time, which makes learning harder. I work in Vietnamese jungles and along the Laos/Vietnamese border so the features we need are limited. One thing people forget is the benefits of using antennae. In jungle (reduced signal strength) areas we mount antennae on each individuals' shoulder. Don't buy overpriced antennae from "G", the are many No-Name antennae that perform well at much lower prices.
Apologies! This video was produced for my students as revision to go with an in-person session. For a thorough step-by-step guide from scratch, its perhaps best to get the instruction manual out.
On this unit, best to bring them in to QGIS (or similar) and draw your polygon to find the area. We do this in our course and some of the tutorials are here and open to everyone.
Yes, this will average points. With any unit averaging requires some time. This video was recorded as a beginners quickstart for our undergraduate program.
