Marlon was the God of acting. He was and is perfection. I keep his movies to see over and over and NEVER tire of them. Which other actor fits this description? None. Can you imagine having so much repeat value. If ythey ran a retrospective of his films even now theyd have to run each movie repeatedly for a weak in four shows and yet they would have housefulls.

Brilliant actor, but a terrible father. His daughter committed suicide and his son was a murderer. Famous people should not have children - it is not fair to the child. Just because people have talent in one aspect does not mean they are good people.

@@LaurenceDay-d2p neither does it mean that they are bad people. Each person brings his own destiny, how can Marlon be blamed for Christians actions or Cheyenne s suicide. She had lied to her brother that Dag drollet used to beat her

Vivien Leigh's performance in "A Streetcar named Desire" I find even stronger. Arguably, she also had the more difficult role to play: Someone who plays a role herself most of the time and has increasing difficulty to discern between herself and her roles. She also has the greater character arc. Her gradual descent into despair, then trauma and madness is hard to pull of. She was astounding, and even more naturalistic. Marlon Brando's performance sometimes seems forced, he is giving 110% or at least trying to. He admitted as much himself once.

Anyone who would describe Marlon Brando as Neanderthal has not seen him play Mark Anthony in Julius Cesar or Napoleon he was a highly intelligent human being who believed passionately in humanitarian causes

I'm reading his autobiography. He was so much more than his looks. Mischievous, articulate and seeking freedom in his youth beyond rules. He felt so many emotions that shaped him. He was enigmatic.

Are you kidding? He was a selfish lout who treated females like dirt. Look how he treated Rita Moreno and Anna Kashfi. He is the most overrated actor in Hollywood. He cannot compare with great actors like Paul Muni or Lon Chaney.

I thought this video was about Brando's preparation for the play, instead you said: "he was a method actor and using the method is what he did. Then you continued to show some comments about his performance and somethings about his life. How disappointing!

Each actor has to find their own techniques, whatever works best for them to make characters believable and relatable. It might even be different techniques for different roles. Or not.

Quite obvious you have never seen Hollywood actor Mr John Garfield perform, now that is a true Method Actor, many years before Brando.

This is NOT true. Brando s guru teacher was STELLA ADLER. NOT THE METHOD OR STRASBERG WHO HE LOATHED.
