Aww...those were the good ole days. We love you Marlon!!! RIP My Dear sweet Michael. I went to the Victory concert 2 x and it still holds as the best concert of all times.
What with the comments? Marlon didn't lie.. it's a fact that him and Jackie and Michael did the chroeography so i don't see why are some people (mainly MJ fanatics) are pissed off
As usual....some of the people especially these overzealous MJ fans commenting on this video don't know SHIT about the Jackson 5 structure. Even MJ HIMSELF in his own book and MANY other interviews has ALLLLLWAYS said that him, Jackie & especially Marlon comes up with all of their classic trademark choreography in which Marlon came up with the majority of their signature steps. Whereas MJ was more of a natural mover when it came to structure chroeography, Marlon was more of the freestyler and though MJ was without the doubt star & regarded as the best dancer which he is bar none, he even said himself that Marlon was the dancer out of all them so when i hear this shit about Marlon copying MJ's moves, it sounds real stupid because first and foremost and most important...THEY ARE BROTHERS !!!!! They are brothers who had 15 year history before "Thriller" in which all 6 brothers lived, worked, rehearsed, performed and recorded together as a unit so there is a natural similarity between all 6 brothers though they have differences....On the Victory tour, all of MJ & Marlon's moves are planned out PLEASE get your facts straight before commenting on the Jackson music structure cause it's so clear that many of you haven't done your research and read too many tabloids
The thing is, Michael said himself that Marlon “copied” him on stage. There’s an audio clip that used to be here on RU-vid of Michael speaking about all of his family, and he went down the line and lightweight shaded or criticized his whole family, except Rebbie. He didn’t mention her. But what he said about Marlon was that he hated the way Marlon copied his moves onstage because it looked “too doo-woppy.” This was during the Victory Tour. And tbh, just looking at their performances, Marlon _was_ copying his moves. That doesn’t mean Marlon can’t dance, but maybe Marlon thought it looked good on stage for he and Michael to always do the same moves. 🤷🏽♀️ IDK. If that was how Michael felt though, he should’ve told Marlon.
As the biggest Michael Jackson fan, Marlon was hands down the best-looking Jackson growing up. Honestly.. without any surgery or any enhancements done, Marlon looked the best.
Why interview Marlon and talk about Michael?! That’s kinda dumb. He seemed annoyed rightfully so. I can see why MJ didn’t like doin interviews once he became a superstar. The only thing any actor, singer, dancer, entertainer owes their fans is a good performance!
Haha-Marlon's interviews are always great. "What's the secret of Michael's popularity?" "He's good-that's no secret." The look on his face. And: "Do you do drugs?" LOL.
Regarding my comments on Michael's legacy, I have been going on many different "Michael Jackson" RU-vid video sites and made comments in order to educate people about the truth and do what I can to counter all the hateful and dishonest things the media has said about him through the years. I figure if enough people do this, maybe the real truth can get out there. So, keep up the great work! I am sure Michael is smiling down on his real fans..
Hi! Thank you for your very nice reply back to me about Michael Jackson and Marlon's comment about choreography. I was never the kind of person who got "obsessed" with a celebrity. But, I have to admit, I AM OBSESSED WITH MICHAEL JACKSON. I figure, if you are going to be obsessed, it should be with GREATNESS. And, Michael certainly fits that definition. Obviously, you are a great fan and will do what you can to keep his legacy alive. Me too!
We just gonna ignore what happened at Victory Tour Shake Your Body (Down to the Ground)? Marlon is actually great tho props to him I have no doubt that he was great at choreography and y’all should know micheal himself said MULTIPLE times Marlon was usually making the choreography.
A LOT of people clown Marlon for copying Michael's moves during the Victory Tour, but he was almost as good(if not just as good) a dancer as Michael was. I wish there was a 1984 interview with Marlon with a person who knew more about The Jacksons to ask him about going solo. The way Marlon SHOWED OUT at the Victory Tour told me he wanted to be solo!! colorgirl, all the Victory Tour video with Tom Joyner has been removed...T.Joyner must have found out about those videos and had them removed.
lol Marlon is a better dancer than Michael. Michael even said so himself. Michael just looked cooler doing it because he was so slim. Y’all are so overzealous and obsessed with Michael because he was always the star. Saying he was “nO wHeRe nEaR MiChAeL” is just so much of an exaggeration. Marlon wasn’t called the dancingest Sibling in the family for no reason. Marlon can even drop directly to his knees and come back up just with his legs. Michael couldn’t even do that. Obviously Michael was a better singer but y’all just degrade Marlon because he’s not as well known. Marlon was the best dancer. Michael said it,Hazel Gordy Said it, Janet said it,and the rest of the family said it. 🤷🏾♂️
@@alienator4684 Michael literally fell to his knees and jumped back up using his legs in “SCREAM” 🤦🏾♂️🙄 and he was Almost 40. Can you relax dude you in every comment of Jackson videos saying the same shit. The numbers and footage don’t lie. He could’ve taught Michael every move he ever did on stage, but if Mike looks better/ Does the dance BETTER then people not going to care about who “taught “ him anything. 🤦🏾♂️ what don’t you get about that. Stop hating that ain’t it
judy walter Marlon was always more energetic than Michael and stronger. Even when they would play fight/wrestle as kids the brothers said Marlon would win most often. I agree with everything else you said though.
@missphiferjasmine Wow,now that's a first,Joe was cruel but this is the first I've ever heard him saying that. There are no dark skin children in that family, some are lil darker than others, but they all have pretty skin, Joe strikes again. But again MJ was never jealous of their skin tone, and he never said Joe said this of him,and I've been following MJ's career over 30 years!! even if MJ was DARK he still was the best looking, and talented hands down.
@cindys413 You are sooooo right, after MJ died old taped interviews were found when he was working on his book Moonwalk, and he said he did not like Marlon imitating him,at all,he said Marlon looked "doo woopy",lol.MJ absolutely hated Marlon copying him,but I love Marlon though, lol.
when u look at this interveiw with marlon and one with micheal in this same era they kind of do the same thinggs touch/scrath their hair, raise there hands in the same way when asking a question, and most of alll BITE thier lipsss......yummmy lol
What with you Michael fans?? I didn't knew that you're such fools You love michael so much that your minds had been blew away..don't let his great love and respect for him blind your minds..Michael wasn't a legend that time he worked together with his brothers and shared the work and Michael him self said marlon rocked it Please make Michael proud of his fans cause I'm sure if he saw this he would be shame of you!!
Michael was not the ot member. I hate how people ignore everyone else. Yeah imma mj fan but I give his siblings the same respect I give mike. Just because michael is "michael Jackson" doesn't mean to ignore his brothers. And susters.but they ain't in this case
@softyme63 Hmm I didn't know Jackie didn't have a nose job but all the rest did. Interesting. But yeah I still think Marlon looked the best even on the Triumph Tour.
He got darker in 1976 before then he was caramel brown. Off The Wall he was dark. In the making of Thriller he was dark then after The Pepsi Commercial That Was It!!
@ 0:42 marlon seems like no Michael wasn't the only one who made up all the dance steps. It was myself and Jackie is like he's saying Michael Is not the only great dancer in this victory tour. Which Michael is the best dancer out of the whole Jackson family
Michael & Marlon were the closest during Tours, I think. While the other older brothers would be going out having sex with groupies, Michael AND Marlon had to be the ones pretending to sleep and the ones who were on another level because they were the youngest. They always did the pranks together. & I think when they parted, Michael becoming way more famous, Marlon grew very jealous. You can already tell in this interview. "He's great." That's no way to talk about your brilliant brother.
Marlon actually said he looked up to Micheal a lot and was ever jealous. He might’ve been bitter they just wanted info won Micheal while he just released a video called “Body.”
Y’all got it all wrong. Does anyone know anything about real Jackson history? Smh 🤦🏾♂️ Michael said in his book that he looked up to Marlon when it came to dancing. Marlon was never jealous of Michael. He was just annoyed at having to answer questions about his brother when it should be about him. He doesn’t have to say “ MICHAEL IS PERFECT “ if he doesn’t want to
@crazy4corbinbleux I think Marlon has always been great looking, but he did have a nose job right before Motown 25, Check out his nose on the Triumph tour and compare after that. No big deal though, cause it made him even better looking. In fact, they all had nose jobs except Jackie (even Tito had one).
No, Michael was ALWAYS the best looking. Even as a child. When he was older, he had perfect features except his nose. He just didn't need more than 2 nose jobs. Michael had a perfect mouth, perfect lips, perfect eyes, perfect body. JUST PERFECTION.
@cindys413, if you look at all the youtube video of the Victory Tour, Marlon looked to have Michael's moves down pat. I know it was annoying to see him stand behind Michael and copy his moves, but he pulled them off to me. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a bit of jealousy from Marlon and some other brothers because they all started together and had talent, but Michael went on to extraordinary heights as a solo artist and they did not.
It wasnt Michaels move though it was a Jackson move part of the choreography that MJ as in Marlon Jackson helped come up with not just the other MJ as in Michael smh
@cindys413 there is not one video (Performance) in which Michael seeked face-contact to Marlon (the same to the other brothers) while dancing or singing. Michael behaved like an autist on stage (in relation to his brothers) and by this action constructed the barrier between him and his brothers, esp. Marlon. Even while being kids, Michael NEVER interacted personally with Marlon. Joe created a regime, in which they had to cooperate - this is the reason, they could survive "together"
@seehorn I totally respect your opinion, but cannot possibly understand how you missed the jerky, seizure-like, trying too hard, unnatural movements of Marlon. He looks so ammaturish trying to copy Michael. Michael's movements are effortless & so natural. The Jackson brothers could have NEVER made it as far as they did without Michael. I don't think Marlon copied Michael's movements well at all. I am a long time student of dance & see that unlike Marlon, Michael's dance comes from his very soul.
