Marn (Dudley) vs. Daigo Umehara (Ryu) Super Street Fighter IV at Seasons Beatings Redemption. This is the game that got Daigo knocked out of the tournament.
Daigo gets a lot of stick, but I respect him for sticking with Ryu when he hasn't been top tier in all the games Diago plays as him in. Daigo could go for a top tier guy but he's happy to try and beat his opponents with a character he actually enjoys playing as.
@Timbaland101 Thank you for agreeing, it was pretty disgusting to watch this all happen. But the reason I say I am disappointed is because usually Daigo can block out all that nonsense around him, so I was figuring it wouldn't bother him. I am not saying that it was bothering him, we really can't tell but it for sure was annoying. Daigo did play well though at times throughout this tournament, but not on a consistent base.
Looks like Daigo tried to chip-finish Marn as he did in game two. But since Marn was knocked down he had ample time to buffer that Ultra. But this is just personal speculation, lol.
@Timbaland101 You know what, your the first person that i've been able to speak about SF, which where I am defending Daigo and I was not bashed to be a fanboy, lol sometimes when people realize the truth they get sensitive and result to name calling. Daigo should be more respected really, think about it - he doesn't talk sh-- about anyone really, most of the times he is being insulted, but I don't think he has called anyone out. And yes hopefully he can win this Evo in Japan as well, I hope so!

@Timbaland101 You know what I watched that match! And before that match let's say 2 hours before. Arturo was on the mac bashing Daigo, because Daigo was playing in the corner where he didn't want to be filmed. So Art was saying some disrespectful stuff which I found disgusting, so when Daigo punished his limb with a crouching fierce into super.. I thought two things.. Daigo's reactions are stupid .................... and ! lol Arturo got what he deserved.

(kept getting error with full link) Granted, i do still kinda like the perspective of this video. It gives you a much better idea of what it's actually like to be at one of these tournaments with the crowd chanting and audience members shouting out "helpful" tips.
I was very disgusted by the macho man attitude that the American base showed at Seasons Beatings, but then again I didn't expect them to be the most gracious hosts either. I'm sure if it were in Japan, there would be much more respect shown and no yelling in peoples ears, calling people swear words and such things. If we are to grow as a community we should not be treating eachother like this. And as far as Daigo goes.. I was really disappointed with his performance, I expected more.
@xlarge123 Same concept that it is for sports? Same concept that it is when ESPN shows the called Poker? People would cheer for anything that is considered competitive. If people just played for the match and clapped courteously like a bunch of robots, then why the fuck would these tournaments be held for? Tournaments are MADE for this reason. If you want an environment like that where you just take the win, go play online. Also take that "nerd" junk somewhere since YOU are watching this vid
