It’s funny how when both Opal and Piers retire and “pass the torch down”, the gender roles reverse. It goes from fairy type (a rather feminine type) having a female gym leader to switching to a male gym leader and then dark type (a rather masculine type) doing the same but in reverse.
I always found it interesting how the game set up Bede and Marnie to become Gym leaders throughout the story. I’m glad Sword and Shield did a good job with character development.

Nice I made it into the video. An observation on the fairy gym logo 0:50: it could be a reference to Beware. Pink and black coloration, and the pink part looks a little like a Beware headbands/ears. I can see a full 6 pack fairy team of opal with a Beware.
Yeah learning about the possible irl inspiration for Spikemuth makes me appreciate team Yell a bit more. And I didn't catch that about the fairy emblem, yeah they're all creepy except for Mina (and now Bede) but even she's kinda out there lol
I at first hated Bede. Just something about condescending and arrogant people that irritate me. But after Opal got a hold of him, I began to like him. I also love how his eyes are shinier and full of life.

Bede’s hair is so delicious that I already have trouble getting my stomach to treat him like a human being. Next thing I know, he’s wearing the ballonlea uniform and my stomach is literally growling so loud that I swear that it could be heard from across the street!

I’m not sure what bede would do if I was pulling his dandruff and making delicious sweets with it but Allister and his gym mates are the only people who know what is really going on
I just wanna know why Bede's purple design is so reminiscent of Gordor from Ranger. Although that would be hilarious if that was his grandpa since it would probably explain why he was ditched.
