I am a Muslim I used to wear hijab in my teenage years then decided to remove it as I didn't like it, I wasn't wearing it for the right reasons I wasn't taught why I was wearing it. As I left school and wasn't in hijab anymore I started getting this horrible feeling and was always conscious of men seeing me without my hijab and always thinking what if this is what takes me to hell. Therefore I started looking into why we wear hijab and after learning about this I wore the hijab again SubhanAllah now I love it. I pray that Dina and every other girl going through this has guidance.

Saying Hijab is a symbol of modesty is like saying glasses are a symbol of intelligence. Wearing a "symbol of modesty" is about pride, if you a really modest you don't put a symbol on your head saying "look at me, look at me I'm modest!"?

+Ese Callum 100 things wrong with what u said, firstly glasses are a symbol that u have poor eye sight not intelligence, terrible comparison. Secondly when one wears hijab they're not saying LOOK at me I'm modest, more like don't look at me I'm covered! there's plenty of half naked cheap trash to look at uhm. Thirdly yh ur born naked, ur also born with no knowledge then grow, learn & evolve, get my point? Fourthly, u bathe with ur family naked. . no comment

@@esecallum Muslims love the word MODESTY, because it hides the agenda. In reality they mean DECENCY. Do you imagine selling Islam to Westerners by saying that Hijab = DECENCY? It sounds offensive to people they try to convince, so they use the word MODESTY. Same goes with many Christians, Jews. "Brother, your sister is immodest" sounds a lot better than "brother, your sister is indecent", right?

Honestly, I’m shook. Brother Ali Dawah showed me my own hypocrisy. I was so focused on the external modesty of the woman, but never did I give a thought to the brother’s immodest speech. And even more frightening, I was so focused on her unspoken or unfinished(alhamduillah) statement to point that I forgot about his Blatantly spoken statements. SubhanAllah!

I think Pakistan is one of the worst countries in the world, I mean it is so backwards, so dangerous, and the people are so close-minded and brainwashed because of Islam..... You asked what Muhammad did for humanity? He showed us how inhumane people can become if they follow his evil teachings...look how the Qur’an is differentiating between believers and unbelievers, it is so manipulative and even racist, I mean just change the word believers to white and unbelievers to black, then you will know what I am talking about.Why do you never hang all the real criminals and the corrupt who steal billions and billions and billions??

Ese Callum I’ve never seen so much nonsense in only one comment
@esecallum
@esecallum 5 лет назад
@@deneyt3172 The Quran contains at least 109 verses that speak of war with nonbelievers, usually on the basis of their status as non-Muslims. Some are quite graphic, with commands to chop off heads and fingers and kill infidels wherever they may be hiding. Muslims who do not join the fight are called 'hypocrites' and warned that Allah will send them to Hell if they do not join the slaughter. Unlike nearly all of the Old Testament verses of violence, most verses of violence in the Quran are open-ended, meaning that they are not necessarily restrained by historical context contained in the surrounding text (although many Muslims choose to think of them that way). They are part of the eternal, unchanging word of Allah, and just as relevant or subject to interpretation as anything else in the Quran. The context of violent passages is more ambiguous than might be expected of a perfect book from a loving God. Most contemporary Muslims exercise a personal choice to interpret their holy book's call to arms according to their own moral preconceptions about justifiable violence. Islam's apologists cater to these preferences with tenuous arguments that gloss over historical fact and generally don't stand up to scrutiny. Still, it is important to note that the problem is not bad people, but bad ideology. Unfortunately, there are very few verses of tolerance and peace to balance out those calling for nonbelievers to be fought and subdued until they either accept humiliation, convert to Islam, or are killed. Muhammad's own martial legacy, along with the remarkable emphasis on violence found in the Quran, have produced a trail of blood and tears across world history and means muslims are doomed to suffer because of this mental strait jacket which makes them very violent in search of the 72 virgins promised to them by a desert arab smoking hashish drugs.

@WJ Sky WHY DONT YOU READ THE COLD HARD PRINT OF THE KORAN AND RELALIZE THE EVILNESS OF RELIGION TELLING YOU TO KILL EVERYTHING THAT IS DIFFERENT? I DOUBT YOU HAVE THE READ IT IN THE ORIGIBAL ARABICAND REALIZED HOW HORRIFIC IT IS OR MAYBE YOU ARE A SICK INDIVIDUAL WHO ACTUALLY BELIEVES 72 VIRGINS WAITING FOR YOPU IF YOU BLOW YOURSELF UP.
@peonypetal5405
@peonypetal5405 4 года назад
@WJ Sky Old is gold, as they say. Just because these arguments keep getting denied doesn't mean the evidence isn't there in black and white for anybody willing to see, or in my case, someone who wasn't willing to see at first. I was in a relationship with a Muslim man who seemed charming and open-minded and talked about this sugar-coated version of Islam where we could have a mutually respectful future together and I didn't "have to" convert. Odd language to use when you're knowingly dating someone of another religion, but I missed that reg flag and a few others. Fast forward a year when I'm getting screamed at for not immediately changing my clothes because he wanted me to wear another color, because I didn't say the right thing, because I went to Starbucks, and being told I was going to be expected to wear the headscarf as a sign of respect to him after we got married and I converted, after we had established early in our relationship that I wanted to keep my religion and him telling all about how it's a woman's choice... yeah, after all that, I actually turned to the texts to try to find a defense for myself as a woman. I was shocked when I actually read it, that I had believed the leftist and sugar-coated version and gotten myself into this situation. As I said, it's there in black and white. I hadn't read it before because I trusted the media and generally want to believe in the goodness of people. I still believe in the goodness of people, but I no longer believe Islam is an ideology that promotes goodness. Lesson learned the hard way for me.

Too many people want Fluffy Islam: the Islam that doesn't challenge our values, supports our opinions, & fits perfectly into our worldview. Some Muslims accept Islam until they hear something they dislike. Then they reject scholars & speakers and say "that's not Islam." Rather than redefining their understanding of Islam, they want to redefine Islam itself. Their ego and arrogance blinds them. Their acceptance of Islam hinges on believing in only the most ambiguous parts - the parts they can misinterpret to fit their desires. If our reaction to hearing something we dislike is rejecting it rather than seeking knowledge/clarity, are we worshiping Allah or our egos? Have you seen he/she who has taken as his/her god his/her [own] desire, and Allah has sent him/her astray due to knowledge and has set a seal upon his/her hearing and his/her heart and put over his/her vision a veil? So who will guide him/her after Allah ? Then will you not be reminded? (45:23)

I don’t understand these videos of judging someone from another video, it makes me think, as if the prophet Muhammad peace be upon him used to sit and just watch each person or each Muslim walk past and comment on what they are doing wrong or what they should be doing, and also as a girl from the youth of Islam makes me think that advice is mainly when a person sits with the other person and talks to them in a adult mature manner, not thru videos and commenting on each phrase or each movement or something in the other persons video, Islam is meant to be a loving community of people and all I see growing up and thru social media is judgement from people and other people when really on judgement day we will all be separate from each other and asked ourselves for what we did and why from Allah swt. We all need to remember no human is perfect Allah swt did not make any Human to be perfect. So leave what other people do and focus on yourselves because you’re not guaranteed to go Janaa by focusing on someone else’s life and what they do.

Welcome to the digital world sister. Such a video generated a great reaction and therefore their reaction is necessary. If you heard the end of the video. Ali said that people were more focused on Dina's hijab rather then the severity of Sid's words. Ali and Mohammad are correcting, and they should do it publicly not a little private convo b/c of the large audience involved. Islam is about Enjoining good and forbidding the evil. It's not okay to speak about Islam in such a way like Sid did. I'ts not okay! and its shocking how no one has said anything about it. This is Why Ali and Mohammad have spoken about it.

If Islam was moderate or too liberal (Auzubillah). You will brush off 'minor sins' considering them as halal which leads to major sins. Dawah is always needed 24/7... Example: Public affection, nudism, homosexuality, transgender, alcohol, freemixing, zina is still not openly practiced Alhumdullillah. Unlike Hindu, Christian or Jewish nations. Christians do preach but now it seems too late for dawah... like rejecting homosexual acts what happens? Yes, Christians themselves will "Censor" the dawah as "Hate Speech" auzubillah... May Allah protect us all from shaitaans plans and guide us all to his righteous path. Ameen.

There are muslim who have been made comfortable with the idea that Islam accommodates their every ideological commitment: liberalism, feminism, secularism, social justice identity politics, etc.The idea of submitting and reigning in one's emotions and sentimentality in accordance with the Sacred is completely foreign to them. The tarbiya that is so critical to spirituality and getting closer to Allah is completely absent.But Muslims can't remain sheltered forever. They slowly start realizing that things are not what they want them to be. They start resenting other Muslims and begin to lash out, calling them names: "extremist," "wahabi," "misogynist," etc.Many of them become very bitter, burn out, and some even leave Islam. For example, you probably think that that hijab (covering awrah) is a personal choice. which means that wearing it is no more or less meaningful than wearing a swimsuit.If all one cares about and celebrates is choice, then choosing to wear the hijab is equivalent to choosing to ditch it. Or choosing to wear something else entirely. It's all choice! But in reality, hijab is anything but choice. It is fard.

However, that does not mean that I follow everything that she does, I took the good and learned from it and whatever was not exactly within the Islamic guidelines, I just ignored it. We are responsible for learning on our own, I can't just close my eyes, not research or find answers and just blame it on Dina for making the choices i make. Assalamo alaikum the basic principle that you brothers forget is to advise your muslim brother in private. Send a message to the brother privately. Im sure you can reach them because you are going by "IF he said that , IF he meant that" which shows that you dont know what is in his heart, what he understands. Perhaps the invitation you gave at the end should have been done first because just like his words can be misinterpreted so can yours as you are coming across reprimanding his actions in public. Just because his mistakes knowingly or unknowingly are done in public that doesn't give you the right to shame him in a way more on top of what he has done himself. One of the biggest problems with the youth giving dawah these days is that they lack wisdom in the approach and need a lot to learn.

Surah 24 An-Nur, Ayat 26-26 (24:26) Corrupt women are for corrupt men, and corrupt men for corrupt women. Good women are for good men, and good men for good women. They are innocent of the calumnies people utter.22 There shall be forgiveness for them and a generous provision.

As a revert a got such a calming and loving peace when I started wearing my hijab 🧕🏽 so much so that I never took it off since I’ve started wearing it no matter what my family or friends said. That’s the only thing I don’t understand about girls that take off their hijab, is it because they never got the peace they were supposed to feel? Like I genuinely don’t get it.

I’m so thankful that I grew up with a Muslim family who allowed me to be me. I wore the hijab and then took it off, then wore it and then took it off. I received no “obvious” judgment. We all have our own-journey. It’s important to just be there for one another. Build each other up and be there for one another 🙂 trust me, beating a Muslim lady up for not wearing the hijab is hurtful. Some people don’t wear it because they get harassed daily for it so they are afraid to wear it. Let’s just be positive and there for each other! 🙂

I don't know but, sister dina May Allah guide her and guide all of us, no one in this earth has the right to point fingers at anyone or talk about her were not angles our eman can go upper and down. But the way sister dina talks in this video she still shows and comes across modest and having (hayaa) so she needs people to support her and not talk about her bcoz Allah knows everyone heart. Allah looks at the heart and not the appearence,yes Allah has said to us beleiving women to cover ourself modestly but hooefully Allah can b sister dina support and help her through her struggles. This Life Is a test so May Allah help us get through it succesfuly ameen. Salaam to all

I think you both failed tbh to give proper advise.what it looks like to guys passing judgement on a man and wife who put their story online for the world to see. You guys should’ve kept it discreet and should’ve reached out to the SID and give him advise privately. It doesn’t help you guys publicly more or less tell he is wrong etc. You shouldn’t make video like this especially in your own community what u have done is probably pushed him away. A response video for a video isn’t the right away. Talk to him privately via txt or whatever

This is what I say all the time. The Muslim community does not know how to correct each other properly without exposing somebody's imperfection and making them look like they are a disgrace in the society. To tell the truth I didn't even know these people but I came to know them Through people judging them by doing their reaction videos. This shows how some Muslims like to expose each others imperfection without actually assing that God didn't create any body perfect and forbided to not expose peoples sin.

Dina could have done better in her marriage. Sid isn't a bad person, quite the opposite, but nevertheless Dina is someone from at least a moderately practising family. Whilst sid is from a typical desi cultural background, that is pretty apparent. May Allah guide all of us, reminder to myself first and foremost.

Ayesha Behery typical desi cultural background? What’s that supposed to mean? In my experience ‘desi’ muslims such as Pakistani, Bengali, Indians tend to me far more practising than Arab Muslims. Just because Sid is less practising than Dina doesnt mean all asians are, like I said it’s quite the opposite.

It’s a shame really... Look at Dina’s older videos and you can see she has a normal hijab and slowly through the years taking piece by piece. Which later changed to a long scarf, then a short scarf then she eventually just got rid of it completely probably from outside influences.🙁

Hi guys, I've been a social media follower of Dina for a very long time, about six years now. Firstly just a very quick comment that Dina started her journey as a (now) influencer in a very temperamental part of anyones life. In that age everything is uncertain, and you have just been coming into your own and trying to figure not only yourself but also life out. Factoring this with all that she has been through the past few years (change of and growth in career, marriage, children and other life decisions) will of course result her into coming into her own in a very quick manner. And as part of that journey, are both right and wrong steps, which is exactly what happens with every single on of us, muslim or not. Now moving onto my main point with Sid's comments on being "on the dean". As I've mentioned I've followed Dina even before she met Sid, so I am well aware of every detail about their published lives together. When Sid said this comment, i believe he means the cultural deen. Now please before halting me say bismillah, have some patience and hear me out. When you are young, and are trying to stay on the dean and be religious, a large part of that comes not only from your self-study and endevours, but also largely from your family and culture. We all know about the faults of our cultures, whether it be asian, arab etc. We all have things which are normal within our culture but go directly against the dean, like marrying a woman out of her will as just one but very common example in many muslim nations. So this being said, perhaps what Sid meant was that he had the religiousness, however was influenced by these "bad" cultural norms. And now more recently, he has developed more, realized that these cultural norms are wrong, but still has the religious values from the quran and hadith. Part of his journey now, is learning about the dean, however more importantly (because this would be something completely new to him) to know how to apply this dean WITHOUT any cultural bias, but just strictly based on what islam deems as right or wrong. Ofcourse, this would take a while, because you have to breakaway from what helped mold who you are, and form a whole new كيان or 'self of being' all on your own. I hope this makes sense and helps clarify a few things. I have only made this comment, because I am going through this myself, trying my very best in being a better muslim and insha'allah we will all be guided to the right path. ameen. Best blessings, love, and wishes for a stronger imaan and taqwaa to all my brothers and sisters.

This is so ACCURATE. People need to realised HAYAA (modesty) comes from within too, it is deeper than just headscarf. I also feel like fame and money has gotten to them both as a couple. Many 'muslims' of this generation are following western society footsteps, forgetting their true beliefs. We muslims need to hold onto our values, morals, beliefs and rules regardless of society changes. We should NOT make alterations to commandments from ALLAH (swt) in order to try 'fit' in and adapt with western society. May Allah (swt) protect us all.

Thankfully my children are small yet but I would not allow them to follow and excessively watch any youtubers to the point where they become so emotionally involved in their lives, like people are nowadays. It's REALLY unhealthy. There's nothing worse than spending hours watching mundane trash that has absolutely no benefit and to have knowledge of little things about the lives of oversharing plonkers who then whine when these followers - rightly or wrongly - feel they have a say in the youtuber's life decisions. Believe it or not but there was a time when social media didn't exist and people survived.
