fun fact: they guy in the bar with the red hair piece is Gene Labell. World class Judo player and Catch Wrestler. He's the guy that taught Bruce Lee about submission grappling and was a grappling coach of Ronda Rousey. He's also the guy that choked out Steven Segal and made him crap his pants.
@Keller Smith Also worth mentioning that Ed O'Niel-Al Bundy was also drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers but was dropped during training camp. So Al's lifetime disappointment in his career might not be so far from the truth in reality.
@Keller Smith I'll trust in Gene Label's own words seeing as he's an actual world class Judoka and Catch as Catch Can wrestler. And the fact that we know Segal has been full of horse you know what his entire life.
What every father wishes they could whenever someone hurts their child especially their daughter. I grew up watching this show and that is one of my favorite moments. Every guy cheering made me wonder if they too have daughters.
For all their bickering and mooching of his paycheck, when Kelly told Al to beat that guy up, he didn't even ask for a reason. He loved his family, and through all the complaints and whining, he was a true husband and father, and a real man.
@@Anthyrion Both times, they were very good looking women, too. Al Bundy may not be perfect, but we can learn from his mistakes and shortcomings just as much as we can learn from his wisdom.
@@lordgenerias True. What i found interesting: While Bud maybe was the most intelligent of the family, Kelly inherited Al's genes for sports. Almost everytime, Kelly got involved in some sport activities, she was really good. It's kinda sad, that the showrunners didn't really do anything with that
Hey, Al was a kind and considerate father, helping those fellas out like that. Late at night, it can be difficult to find the door without someone to help.
The Early 90's were AWESOME....We would go watch the Cowboys at the Granada theater, drink and eat , come home and then watch The Simpsons, In Living Color and Married with Children. What a Sunday LINEUP!!!
Context for that last one: That was Kelly's boyfriend, and the girl who ran was another girl he was making out with. Kelly decided to handle it maturely, confronting him and telling him they were over. When she got back to her seat, you saw what happened ^^
To be fair my sister knew me and my brothers had a nice spot out back for anyone who would dare cheat on her. It’s what families do. No one has ever cheated on her. Cause our dad is scarier than we could ever be.
As the father of 5 daughter's, this was me from the time they were 13 until they were married. And I had one son-in-law who needed a refresher on why he never puts hands on my girl. It took him about 6 months to learn to walk again but hey, it was a lesson he never forgot. See Dad's 6'5" and 245 and tolerates no B.S.
Hey I will say the video took a lot of the meanings behind the beatings away but the best one I think was the last one and that was daddys little girl saying "Daddy! Beat him up!" and he did it without an hesitation! But yeah, one of the best shows of all time that showed things that other shows weren't allowed to show! Al Bundy will always be a badass! Thank you for the reaction!!!!
Hahaha I love it is my answer to the question with the drum roll ready hot coffee regular cream and sugar I guess I'm an old-fashioned kind of guy thank you guys for entertaining me tonight I had a pleasurable time watching you guys great video carry on !!
I see you got the dolphins shirt, nice. I'm a miami fan too. The date of this post was before the nfl draft. I have to assume you liked the Tua pick eh? I'm pumped to see him play and I think he will be a good qb. I hope this nfl season happens with covid going on. What a crazy year, hope things get better soon
Interesting note. The young guy in the theater that Kelly says, "Daddy, beat him up", and Al goes running up to the seat to do it, is the guy who would go on later to star in the TV Show, "BONES".
Justin & Staci TV Aye very true! I be a Pirate who loves the politically incorrect 1990’s! Well the 1690’s were even more crazy but that is another story for a RU-vid video! Yar Har!
Hey guys! Just subscribed to your channel. You’re both very entertaining, and seem like really cool people. My favourite “cafe” drink would have to be Starbucks caramel macchiato. I suggest that you should do a reaction video to Mrs Brown’s Boys. It was an Irish comedy series that was just too funny. Anyways, ttyl!
Damn, that left hook. Ed O'Neill is a big fellow and was a promising football player like his character. I bet he could do some damage back in the day.
Quite a few actors got their first role on MWC ( David Boreanaz is mentioned below), but interesting to me, in the opening credits you see a green station wagon merge onto the highway, that is footage and the station wagon from National Lampoons Vacation with Chevy Chase.
Fun fact: when Married With Children was first pitched, the Bundys were intended to be a black family, as the creators' original vision was a subversion of The Cosby Show.
There were several episodes where Al Bundy didn't fare too well in a fight. He and his neighbor were caught in a barroom brawl and Al wound up in a full body cast. Al was hired to do a sports commercial and in that commercial he was elbowed by NFL defensive lineman Ed Too Tall Jones, beaned by a baseball pitcher Steve Carlton and finally punched out by Boxer Sugar Ray Leonard. There was the episode when AL broke up with Peggy and moved out into his own apartment and was subsequently punched unconscious by a jealous ( unseen ) boyfriend. Also early in the series Al wound up fighting a large female GLOW wrestler in Las Vegas. In the episode she pretty much tossed Al around like a rag doll and in her final move she dive bombed off the top rope and squashed AL like a bug where he wound up in a wheelchair at the end of the episode. Finally Al attended the NBA ALL-STAR Game where he was thrown upside down into a rim by an angry NBA player. Al Bundy didn't always win but he wouldn't shy away from a fight either.
Can see it now...."Expect you will treat her with respect and get her home on time son. Likely I'll still be up cleaning this gun. Takes a time you know."...."Been a good talk, have fun. See you soon."
Nah that still holds true that cable doesn't beat going to the theaters. Don't get me wrong streaming apps and all that are great indeed but there's just something special about going to the movies.
