I thought I was in a relationship..... when we got together, we knew each other since childhood. 23 years passed and we connected. I stated, I am not I into a what it is or so it go relationship, but a committed relationship... he and I agree, but what I realised, he started putting label on me without talking about it to his so called friends, that doesn't have a pot to pee in, nor a window to throw it out of. Trust me, all the red flags were there and I didn't want to have no regrets about staying in a toxic nonexistent relationship and ignore the signs, my self worth, respect, dignity, So I take myself away from such salacious behavior and toxicity. At the beginning, everything is all bed & roses...the man and woman spend a lot time with each other talking, dating, etc. Then as things change between them...living with each other, getting married, having kids, working long hours; spending time with their friends and/or family...the attention and time that was once the main focus between them gets divided towards those things and they gradually stop focusing on each other as one. Relationships/marriage is work 24/7. You have to find a way to spend that quality time with your significant other and build a bond that can strengthen,not only your relationship, but your love. Compromise and appreciation plays a part as well.
