Dear Breakfast Club please bring more of our trailblazers ❤ the history on entertainment for black folk. I would watch Night Court with my Dad when I was a little girl.
Man this woman is a legend. I use to watch night court at 6pm when I was 6 years old back in 1990 with my great great grandmother, great grandmother and great grandfather…great memories. Priceless. Memories I’m blessed to have !
Bless Ms Marsha Warfield for giving us an amazing history lesson on how black people have gone from surviving to thriving in enetertainment. All of the doors that had to be and continue to be broken down over the decades to tell our own stories. This is really inspiring. It would be great to hear more from Marsha and other greats like her who found a way to make so much out of so little ❤❤❤
People y’all just can’t imagine or see the smile on my face when she called out and cleared up that lie about black people not sticking and working together. Thanks Sister Warfield 🫡✊🏾
Why only 30 minutes? This woman has so much wisdom... even an entire hour isn't enough. Hopefully we get to see more than 30 minutes of her soon. Great wisdom and humility 👑❤️🖤💚🌹🌹🌹
Jess has truly become a great interviewer on this show. I love you can see absolute respect that was held for Marsha. She is a true inspiration and treasure.
I think Jess is failing on her own. She chose to be deceptive and claim this roll for herself so I feel it’s her responsibility to prove why she thought she would be a good fit for the breakfast club. I personally don’t think she appreciates nor was prepared for this role. Time will tell!!!
This was beautifully done. It was peaceful, everyone in the panel participated and we learned so much. Great job. Ricardo’s Authenticity Rating is a 10 out of 10. Energy was positive, and authentic.
I LOVE this interview. Mrs. Warfield is such a national treasure and a beautiful blessing. She dropped so many gems and told so much history that I'm gonna watch it again. GOD bless you Mrs. Marsha! ❤
I fall in love with Ms Warfield every time I see her. Whether it’s on a show or an interview. She is truly amazing. I luv listening to her speak. She’s funny, intelligent and wise and so down to earth. She seems like that auntie that will love on you and help guide you, give you a whoopin if you need it and just be there for you thru life. She’s truly a gem 💎. I hope people really appreciate her and she feels it
John Witherspoon was a real cool brother. We were both up at UCLA on the track and when he saw me going to the water fountain, he jumped up and gave me bottled water and said he didn't me to drink from that dirty fountain. I'll never forget it.
I watched night court as a kid and even though I didn't understand a lot of the humor, I loved the things that I understood. Night court is my favorite childhood TV show, and Robocop is my favorite childhood movie....right up there with Mad Max and Coming to America. 😂
My intro to Ms Marsha was watching a rerun of Moesha as a decorator and I found her to be hilarious 😂. Jess really shined in this interview, fully engaged n everything.
She may not be saying legend so much, but she is definitely a legend. ☀️🙏🏾🌅❤️👑 And so many gems dropped in this interview. And thank you for sharing with us about narratives.
All of our icons and legends are leaving this world now; we gotta do better at celebrating the ones that are still here. Ms. Warfield was delightful and insightful in this interview. I wish it was longer.
I just love her ❤ and we know that comedy special is coming. I could listen to her for hours talk about her days doing comedy shows in the early days and meeting a young Eddie Murphy and Paul Mooney and all the legends, I bet she has some good stories.
Jess needs to take notes. This is a legit comedic legend whose longevity spans decades, kicked down doors for other comedians and did it with grace during a time when being black was basically russian roulette, let alone being a lesbian, and she’s still standing 💪
