Marshall was a beast! I still remember that td run against the browns where he shook the whole defense🔥

Doug totally fumbled that approach to the question trying to lead in with Mike Martz. Ted Marchibroda was the head coach in the 70s with the Baltimore Colts and brought a lot of those concepts initially to lie down Mitchell, Joe Washington, Curtis Dickey… Even when Marshall Falk was with the Indy Colts, he showed tremendous along the same lines, and was equally the person who had the St. Louis Rams into championship form

Sorry, but the Niners Roger Craig is the OG of the 1k rusher, 1k receiving RB and won 3 Superbowls during his time.

Roger Craig was the first 1k running and 1k receptions.. Mike Martz couldn't carry Bill Walsh's playbook..

Marshall was way better than McCaffrey. Better running between the tackles, better catching out of the backfield.

I agree. Marshall Faulk was league MVP and a bit more elusive. In 2000 he carried that Rams team when Warner went down.

@@zombielandakausa7468 CM is a great rb, but he ain't Marshall Faulk not even close.

@@zombielandakausa7468 Are you out of your mind? Move like Barry Sanders? Pump the brakes. Faulk has highlight reels of him making plays when no one blocked. CMC is really good and I’d even say the best back in the league today. But Faulk is a top 3 back all time.

@@zombielandakausa7468you list this debate by comparing CM to Barry….he’s nice for sure but not Barry OR Marshall Faulk but closer to Faulk

Faulk is being nice since he was better than McCaffrey. I think McCaffrey is probably 80% of Peak Faulk (possibly the Greatest all around RB ever whereas Sanders was the Greatest ever Runner).

60 percent or 65 maybe

80% is disrespectful. At that level they are separated by a few percentage points. Marshall is greater though no doubt
@jasonjanisewski78

@@szaret1 I think 80% is pretty respectful seeing as how Faulk is possibly the greatest all around RB in NFL history. Faulk so far has proven to be vastly more durable beyond more than just a few %
