Good Point-Most fans may not know this about big stage shows-With empty cabs stacked up to the ceiling-annd only two are on!! Carmine Appice expained this to us at a Drum Clinic-Folks where shocked!!

The thing I love about this amp. Sounds almost identical to my 73 JMP 50, but with way more balls. Has that Marshall "vibe" I need this amp.

I am not a fan of Yngwie but this head is right up my alley, I love the plexi overdrive sound and I really really like driving it with a good drive box. This gives me both in one place and I can run any boost I want in front of the amp to begin with. I am really really excited to get to put my PRS through its runs with one of these. Can't wait to hear and play one.

@Stratamania You are absolutely correct! I love the thing! Especially as it is my first ever tube amp. Going from a 30 watt Line 6 solid state to this is almost indescribable. It will take me a few years to pay it off but I would suggest you get one if you can. It's brilliant.

You are right, I use mine at home, when we try something out in band ( Sample room) and when we do a small Gig, a "bigger" gig, everywhere, this Marshall is great!

A few years younger than Yngve (real name) I was fortunate to see him play in and around Stockholm were we both grew up,mind blowing stuff back then,this was before he made it/moved to the states,never liked his music,but love his playing,and a proper rockstar

My first Yngwie concert sounded horrid! I like loud, but it was so loud everything bounced off the walls at the venue and was one note. Also, his playing was shit that night, presumably, he couldn't hear his playing either. I literally caught him 2 nights later at a much bigger venue, sounded F**kin' Amazing.

Here's a question... Rigging a Hammond Organ into this to get the sound similar to Jon Lord's? Not a B3, but something like a XK3. Do I have to use anything special before plugging it into the amp, like a noise suppressor or something? I rigged my keyboard at home through a noise suppressor to a Marshall AVT100 and I've had no problems with it. Also, guys in music shops told me that it's not a problem if I rig it, just not to turn up the volume on my keyboard. Your opinion? Thanks!

Very cool guys! couple of things though, you say it's not a "home practice amp", and yeah...I can see that...cos' you'd have no windows left. But how's the tone and so forth if you use the attenuator and turn the power DOWN? I've seen a demo that says you can drop it down from 100watts to like 0.1watts, or something crazy. Also, did the strat have Dimarzios or Seymour Duncans in? (basically YJM's old or new pickups)

The tone actually sounds like Yngwie's. That;'s pretty cool. Many people don't understand that he never really used a lot of gain - he's such a clean picker than he never had to.

Rob first of all , awsome demo as always!!! I am concidering a Malmsteen signature or an eric clapton. Im not sure about the scalloped neck though. I was afraid also that the Malmsteen wasnt "stratty" sounding but that one you clarified for me. How much different do you have to adjust your style to get used to the neck?

I have a 69 small box head and a 71 full size and I never really liked them but this amp sounds amazing!!! I might trade/sell my 71 to get one of these. I cant believe the sound out of this head it really is immense.

so the boost is solid state essentially so its the dod yjm pedal inside the Marshall sounds pretty sweet

Help! I am about to purchase my first Marshall amp; the JVM410H or the YJM100. I will not gig out with this amp, but will only be playing it at home. Which would be more versatile and a better investment in your honest opinion? I like Blues, Classic Rock, Metallica, AC/DC and ZZ Top, etc. Thanks in advance for your responses!
