Marshmallow Test Review - with Chris Yi 

I finally was able to track this down! Albeit the French version delivered from France….oddly enough that printing has a much better sized box. It’s just barely too big but way more reasonable than the english edition at least.

Nice to finally see someone cover this AND give it the score it deserves. This is a great, light Knizia filler that is one of the few games I've taught to non-gamers who then immediately want to play again. Which is fine, because it's so fast. My only real negative is that I think they should have included a blank card of each color that can be put out during a round so people can easily remember what the Trump suit is, like Voodoo Prince which this is a reimplementation of. Great review Chris!

This is the type of game we would've loved during our UNO/Phase 10 days.

Marshmallow Test isn't bad, but it's got a few rules tweaks that make it a bit worse than Voodoo Prince in my mind. But thanks a ton for the video Chris, great stuff!!

This is an instant buy for me because of the squishy marshmallows.

This is basically Voodoo Prince but made very simple (and much less interesting IMO). You can play either this game or Voodoo Prince with a Sticheln (Stick Em) deck.

Me and my wife love gamewright. One of our favorite games from them is Trash Panda lol.

Testing kids for ability to refrain immediate gratification for a superior delayed gratification was a pretty interesting test. It's worth reading about the real Stanford marshmallow test. Interesting stuff to research... but yeah, it probably doesn't really prove much, in the end.

I think Bridge players have an advantage, it's like playing Bridge in "no trump"

I know a very similar game named Voodoo Prince. But this looks much nicer.

Is this game basically not available anywhere?

I was immediately turned off by the look of the cards but this does look like another good wrinkle in trick-taking.

USE A STANDARD PACK OF CARDS ! AND REAL MARSHMALLOWS... With 1 less suit it will not affect the game very much.

Boring!! Like EVERY OTHER BORING Trick Taking game. 😴 There are some REALLY GOOD card games out there like Arboredum, Ohanami and Parade!!
