Tom Selleck, Laura San Giacomo, and Alan Rickman star in this stylish take on the venerable Western genre from the director of ""Lonesome Dove."" Arriving in Australia with nothing more than a saddle and his Sharps rifle, American sharpshooter Matthew Quigley (Selleck) thinks he's been hired to kill off wild dogs. But when he realizes that his mission is to eradicate the Aborigines from the property of a wealthy cattle baron (Rickman) - Quigley refuses...and quickly turns from hunter to hunted.

I can't remember how many times I've watched that movie, I always enjoy it... One of the best goodie/baddie couple... Losing Alan Rickman was very sad... Bad guys are not the same since he passed.

Alan Rickman set the bar for villains when he did Die Hard that still stands today. Can't think of anyone whose even comes close. And it was perfectly complemented by that evil death stare he's best known for. When he did Galaxy Quest, I thought they wasted his talent in the role he played. Then the scene where his alien friend gets shot and dies in his arms changed all that. The Die Hard persona kicks in, and we see that death stare he's famous for.

Alan Rickman was one of the great villains in many movies and he was great at it. He wasn't a very good gun fighter in this movie; but he made up for it by being a complete creep. May this man and villain, who was known as a GENTLEMAN rest in peace.
