Looks and sounds great. Love the fact it has a tuner. Any good sounding guitar with Martin on the headstock is a no brainer. Great video as always. I agree with you about the strap but maybe in the future Martin may give us a choice!
Great video 👌 would like to know what has changed from the previous version of gpc-x2e. As I can check online it had fishman mx pick up. What else has changed ?
I’m just getting back into guitar after years following other musical pursuits. I didn’t want to go too cheap but also wasn’t ready to go high end. I found one of these used, in almost mint condition, for $450, and I love it.
@@aaronshortmusic It’s the “20th Anniversary” one. No built-in tuner, but as a crotchety Irish fiddler once said, “Why don’t ye use da ones on yer head?” 😀 (I do, but a tuner for reference is pretty nice to have!)
@@aaronshortmusic I changed the Battery no joy. Brought it back to the supplier, he hooked to a speaker which was fine but through my amp I’m at 12 o’clock ..Great guitar but somethings a miss..🙁🙁
@@aaronshortmusic Fishman Pickup in the other Guitar. I think the X series is a Fishman design as well although it’s marked as Martin E1. A hybrid maybe.
I did, but I still think B and high E are louder. Record them one at a time in your DAW using equal pressure then look at the amplitudes of the waveforms 😝
@@rombsix When the high strings are weak it’s very obvious. Anyway it’s an easy fix just make sure that the saddle is completely flat and there’s no debris in there. That can happen with any undersaddle install.
Thank you Aaron, and I also thank the fine people at C.T. Martin & Co. for making this happen. I appreciate your opinions more than the majority of the "hired guns" who will say anything for a dollar or two. Have you gigged with this? Any thoughts on feedback issues? Is a preamp a must have?
@@johnwashburn3793 I would like to try it at a gig but since it’s not mine I didn’t want to damage it. The pickup is good. Check out the demo of it in the video.
