Dame Edna is a true one off. Lightning wit always pitched exactly 1 notch above good taste to a level that just works in ways no-one else would dare. Genius.
God Speed Barry H. - You will be missed, but also remembered for your amazing comedy skills. This is my favorite bit because it made Martin Sheen laugh so genuinely.
Dame Edna whilst addressing the audience…..“Oh what a stupid noise!”. Poor Marty couldn’t stop himself from laughing and it’s the funniest retort I’ve ever heard. Thanks for all the laughs over the years Barry. Fare thee well, you were one of a kind and your genius will live on forever ❤

@@kingy002 Ggl says laughing uncontrollably so I'm ok w/ that. also happy I spelt corpsing correctly, without an 'e' I once thought it had. Cheers for watching
I spend as much time crying as I do laughing. Paralyzingly funny! I think I’ve seen everything of Dame Edna’s. My other favorite it her interview with Tom Jones. Deserves an Emmy 🏆
Saw Sheen in Sweet hostage in the 70s. He was impressive back then too. A day later I saw him play another psycho in Little girl who lives down the lane. Great actor
When I think of Barry Humphries I'm reminded of the old adages: Don't tread on Superman's cape, don't eat the yellow snow and most of all, never sit in the front row of a Sir Les Patterson soliloquy. R.I.P Bazza and thanks for All the belly laughs
One of Barry Humphries' other characters is the supremely obnoxious Sir Les Patterson, the supposed 'Australian Minister for the Arts'. Not so well known in the US, Humphries uses Sir Les to take vicious swipes at both politicians and the supposed Australian lack of culture.
