This song really touches my heart. As a young adolescent, I was an angst-filled grunge chick, who listened to very abrasive and depressing 🎶. All the pain I felt was due to stigma I faced for having a movement disorder...this was 1997-2000, before internet and Google was widespread. The grunge look was basically just a defense mechanism.

You know, when I go back to reminisce on the music I grew up with sense I was 3 years old, songs like this, I can't help but understand that I was forever destined to be who it is I am today. I am so grateful that songs such as this exist, and I'm even more grateful that I'm able to say I had the privilege of growing up with such warming music choices that I can call my own. This is why you should never judge a book by its cover. You never know when God is testing you. We had a guy ask for money for a bus ticket it was like $5 all we had was a $20 bill that’s all we had. He said thank you and God Bless and walked away. Never saw him again. I mean literally never saw him again he just disappeared into thin air. We looked all over the parking lot and couldn’t find him

Me and My Dad use to hop in the truck and go for long drives. This song, was one of my favourite. I was only 10 at the time but even it made me process my thoughts on how the world has changed. Before people would look out for each other even if we barely knew one another... Im 24 now
