Check out Marty Friedman and his super talented wingman, Jordan Ziff, performing Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" at the House of Blues in Anaheim, CA. Enjoy!
Jordan Ziff is a well accomplished guitarist and musician. He deserves it, especially since it's very hard to make it in the industry nowadays because the old dinosaurs basically have control.
I rarely ever comment on RU-vid. But I can say without a doubt, this is the greatest performance I have ever seen. Either live or on the internet. Marty is obviously a guitar savant. But what I love most about it, is the other band members' passion.....They legitimately looked like they were having fun. You can't just fake that. Just incredible!
Isn't it kind of creepy that he hired a guy that looks like a younger, more handsome version of himself? I think there's some unresolved issues there somewhere.
Can you believe that Marty (the guy on the left, not the guy with the white 7 strings Les Paul that sounds like a ESP) is 56 and still look that good... with a lot of hair too! Wonderful tribute to Queen.
Jordan Ziffs playing is so clean and precise. Friedman, of course still has the edge with feel and gut playing, but that Ziff guy can seriously play. Yeah a little mistake on the easy bit but overall pretty impressive live playing.
When you're doing an unaccompanied intro with all eyes on you, it's soooo easy to have a finger slip like that. In fact, the more simple the part, the greater the chances. The issue is over-thinking it. The best advice is to imagine that someone else is playing it and lose yourself the song.
