What a touch... character, charisma and just more.... tears to my eyes! Thanks Marty for being an Ambassador of all things Country/blue grass and more...
Billy has arisen and now with Marty- two fabulous performers and Billy has come a long way as anticipated and here with Marty and the superlatives he shows such greatness. Hurray
Saw Marty and the Superlatives in Bakersfield,Ca.,they all signed my old guitar.I had been trying to see Marty a few times but had to work or couldn't go,my wife bought us tickets for Christmas of 2018,Buck Owens Chrystal Palace.Nicest bunch a fellers ever i was so happy to finally seeing them.
Billy Strings is one gifted young man. Never have seen anything like him in my life. If you see him once live....you'll be back!! Saw these guys live at Delfest a few years back. Entertainment doesn't get much better!!!🔥💥🔥
I love Marty Stewart’s Band! Love those traditional westerns outfits. So classic! Marty is incredibly talented. Love him and Ricky Skaggs too! Billy is just OK LOL
What a wonderful performance. Thanks for telling Southern stories, quoting historical poetry and having the smarts to include Marty Stuart and his Fabulous Superlatives in this rendition.
Billy Strings is amazing. I used to be amazed at his guitar playing, which is as good as it gets for that style. He went toe to toe with Tommy Emmanual and impressed Tommy. Now he has begun doing vocals and his singing amazes me!! He is so gifted!!
Marty is a much better guitar player imo. Again just my opinion. BS is a great flat picker no doubt. But I get burnt out on flat picking after a few songs it all sounds the same
Love this kid soo much I’ve been following his development over the past few years and when renewal came out I knew he finally reached the status he’d been working for , a true original artist . I just booked to go see him play in Manchester UK in December . Along with Tyler Childers Sturgil Simpson and Colter Wall he is keeping genuine roots American bluegrass and country music alive and ensuring that pathetic Nashville boy band auto tuned pop nonsense is left in the dust of true musical talent
I agree with you Phil! It has been fun to watch his rise to stardom over the past several years and he totally deserves it everything he has achieved so far. A true original artist indeed! Have fun at the show in Manchester!
I love this... Love seeing Billy Strings and the Band of Strings live... And whenever they play with other wicked sweet talent... Just the best..💚👁️💚🎤🎶🕺🪕🎵🎸🎵🎻✈️🎤🕺💚
Just a amazing talent this man is here for sure an he is a beautiful soul that will never be replaced he is one of a kind the one an only Man that can do it so very happy to get to enjoy him an his band love always your Sunshine 🌞
These guys are monster musicians who can blow you away with incredible speed and soaring musicianship in virtually any genre of music you can think of.....BUT they know when to employ taste and the K.I.S.S. rule (Keep It Simple Stupid) Finesse and technique create emotion, which after all, is what music is all about. There is a time and a place to utilize all your musical skills....the trick is to know what, when and where to employ those skills.
What else can you say about Billy. Like he flew in from somewhere and giving us some of the best music i have ever heard! For me i live for the day he plays a Brian Jessy song. Very special songwriter you guys have never heard before. Thanks! Billy
Wow, Billy Strings is excellent and has a cool ability to influence other artists in any line-up to make the most beautiful job. You can say vibes from God. It´s a great show and I also like art of Marty Stuart 🎵💥 SK, Eu
Tennessee Ed, Billy and Marty and Marcus King and Marty. You best call me next time such spectacles occur! Don’t let the lack of us knowing each other get in the way!
You’re welcome Matt! That’s a bummer you missed the show by only a day… the Light Night Jams should be an annual thing again now, so hopefully you can make it next year!
Anytime anybody plays with him,They all take a second or two to find out if he’s really that good at around 00:41 Kenny,Marty and that other guitar player take a step forward when he first started playing and looked at him. Marty and Kenny are beasts on string instruments.
Awesome. Next up, Kentucky Thunder! I first heard Billy live at a campgrounds just north of Cincinnati, probably 2015 or 16. There might have been 200 people there. Thanks for posting this up.
That's too cool. I saw him at Riverscape in Hamiltucky around 2017-2018 with Tyler Childers and my friend Jeremy Pinnell. Needless to say.......... Pretty frickin' ridiculously good show!
@Marty Stuart please do Marty, I saw you in fall of '73 with Lester Flatt & the Nashville Grass on the lawn in front of the student center @ NCSU in Raleigh, NC. I remember he played the Pier in Cameron village underground around '76. I missed that show. Jimmy Buffett played the Pier a lot in the 70s. he even thanked them on his live album.i saw Sea Level (Allman Bros offshoot with chuck Leavell & Jaimoe), John Kay & Steppenwolf. I always thought magic card ride would be a great song for you to perform in a bluegrass band.i am a huge fan of your TV show. Paul Schaefer performing last date & mentioning Floyd Cramer was a nice gesture. Roger McGuinn playing old blue was great too. Congrats on you & Connie being in the country music hall of fame. thanks for having Doug Kershaw on. he had a rock'n'roll following back in the 70s. I am extremely honored that you invited me to your fan base.i was pleasantly surprised.please keep in touch. btw/ I talked to Slim Richey in the mid 80s & he told me he had worked with you.
I love that version I have of Doc Watson playing it. His smiling face always comes to mind when I hear this oldie! The singers may pass on but the songs get passed along.
@@brucekuehn4031 the "will the circle be unbroken" is a desert island classic. thanks for your comment, I like doc's comment prior to the song. Vassar Clements' playing is outstanding. I met him a few years before he died, a gentleman & a class act. his fiddle playing was beyond amazing & tasteful. the legends are leaving us, but their music continues to inspire a new generation
One verse is glaringly missing.... One day I was ridin' through a beautiful land when I ran smack in to an Indian band. I circled their camp for a time or two, to show'um what a Tennessee horse could do... Them red skinned boys could get my blood, cause I was ridin' on the Tennessee stud.... It's not racist. It's just a song. Nothing more, nothing less.. Face it. that's the way it was back then. He didn't kill anyone. Nor did they. he road away......
When the quarantine kids we're announced in one of your concerts. Whoever was doing the announcing sounded like they were drunk. If I'm paying to see your band play. I'm not paying to see or hear some drunk slurring his words, do better.
