I remember seeing a Johnny Cash show back ‘round ‘86 or ‘87 w/my dad. We were fascinated by how strong & passionate the lady playing guitar in Johnny’s back up band was. We figured out, shortly before dad’s passing about a decade ago, that it was MARTY! He really is a talent to be recognized. I’m so glad he’s getting the credit he’s earned. Keep it up, Marty! 👍❤️🎵

He never truly got the credit he deserved ,he is a gifted singer ,he has good looks and a beautiful voice, who couldnt love this song compared to todays singers.....
Marty takes music back 25 years with this one and makes it sound so good. The big drums, guitars and the tympani make it work. Tempted to play it again.

Love this guys style, he comes across as like "Prince" except in country music. Multi talented n can play lots of instruments n writes most of his own material. I've seen him n concert numerous times n he always gets the crowd into it!!! Great guy

But whn id visit my grandparents a lot, they'd have the radio n hee haw on. I always seem drawn to Johnny Cash n Buck Owens. Then whn I heard ur song n seen the video I really liked it,ur style, the mix n uptempo just blew me away!! And my girlfriend at that time talked me into trading n the sneakers n penny loafers for cowboy boots n cut holes n all my favorite jeans, n the real "ME" took ove!! My wife and I saw Marty and His Fabulous Superlatives at the Majestic theatre in Dallas this past weekend. If you haven't seen these guys, you should. Highly entertaining!!

Always liked this song. About 5 years ago I finally got tickets to see Steve Miller band and Marty Stewart and his band opened for Steve. It was so great to see him in something other than a 30 minute TV show on the farm channel. Then Steve Miller band was everything I always hoped he'd be! But the best part of the show was when Marty & his guys came back on stage and played with Steve Miller band! I am now a super fan and more recently a kenny Vaughn fan as well.
Saw him sing at a festival in the 90’s. He closed the whole festival on a Saturday night with two in a row of this song. Unbelievable and unforgettable.
I saw Marty on a plane once, carrying his guitar. He was flying coach, and he looked just as he did in this video, with the great hair. He seemed so humble, and I was starstruck.

I recall rushing home in order to hear Marty Stuart at the same time daily. Yet here I am many many years later, and this song still turns my knickers. I think I was in grade 1 when this came out. Now….. much older 🤣🤣🤣

I went to see him back in the 1990s..me and mama and after the show I got to go back in the back to meet him. I asked him "Marty? May I have a hug? and he said "Sure honey" and gave me a hug AND a kiss. I about fell over...lol

I saw Marty on tv 2 nights ago. Grey hair and 1 can less of Aqua Net but, sounded just as good. He was a nice man when we met in '92 and always a gentleman. So cute!
