please do make a video on upcomming BS7 noms and will it impact Diesel vehicles in future if we are about to purchase a vehicle for eg SUV in Mahindra is it better to go for petrol or diesel after this BS7 Norms if we are about to purchase in near time from now
Looking at the sales numbers for august 2024 , top selling models are Brezza (19190 units) & Ertiga (18580 units). Those numbers are way higher than wagon r (16450 units) and Swift (12844 units). Clearly Maruti Suzuki has gone upmarket with people being more confident in buying products above 10 lakhs.
Above 10 lakhs is not a bracket anymore. Alto top end is 7 lakhs. If you are premium brand the price should be more than 20 lakhs now. Swift, Baleno all goes way above 10 lakhs now. Brezza i won't see it as a premium brand, if so it would have been in Nexa. Coming to Ertiga (major sales is CNG for commercial).
That's a general change in industry/market though, Tata & Hyundai also sell more 'SUVs' than small cars. Mahindra, Kia, VW, MG & Toyota don't even bother with their own small cars.
10 Lakhs of Past Times is 17-18 Lakhs of Today . When Spending 17-81 Lakhs Today , Very Few People Choose Maruti . This will be the Case Forever . No way this could change
Tell me which is more profitable: 1. Selling 17k units of Creta OR 2. Selling 18k units of Brezza. This is the issue with Maruti. They cannot lead this lucrative segment with cheap, low quality interiors and underpowered engines. If this continues, they're destined to remain as Alto and taxi (Ertiga/Dzire) sellers while entire market is moving upward. I cannot believe that Maruti of all companies is struggling to understand customer preference in this segment.
I purchased a New Maruti Suzuki Ignis from PlA Nexa Trichy in 2023. All guys in Nexa become my friends. Whatever I ask, they answer, provide my Ignis the Best Service! I am so Happy that I chose Ignis, a Magnificent Car!
From trichy we are planning to buy something soon are they good in service and everything amd how well did they do not for only yourselfaybe for ur friends too if they bought there too
@louiedaniel Advance Congratulations on your Future Purchase.Mr.Imran Khan of PLA NEXA is an Awesome Guy. There are good cars in Nexa like Baleno,Ignis etc but if you need a 4 wheel drive ,Jimny is terrific. Service Engineer Ram is very polite and very helpful. I changed Engine oil in my Ignis at 1000kms even though ,manual says oil change at 10,000kms or after one year. IN NEXA CUSTOMER IS KING!
Please make a podcast on E20 petrol Will it decrease the efficiency & performance of car ? is it gonna damage our car by the time ? Also mention about the diesel engine ban in India. When will diesel car be banned? or is it ok to buy diesel car now or not. Talk about the fule options available in future & Which engine is good & affordable to buy now.
Definitely E20 will reduce performance as well not for longevity. Diesel Ban may be on 2070. But Ban on 15 years old cars will be soon PAN India. Series hybrid cars are future not EV's.
Such a brilliant strategy by MSIL. But nowadays ARENA outlets are as equal premium as NEXA are. ARENA offerings Alto Spresso Celerio WagonR Swift Dzire Eeco Brezza Ertiga NEXA offerings Ignis Baleno Ciaz Xl6 Grand Vitara Jimny
Japanese customer service, sales experience cost of ownership, resale value, wide service network is unmatched. There is one more channel Maruti Commercial, please cover this in a future episode.
Sergius, Ketan, great to hear you guys and auto car podcast every week. Please do a podcast only on Creta. It commands a podcast as being relatively expensive it still sells a lot and if i am not wrong is the highest selling car this FY till date. Additional is its legacy since 2015. There are lot of good things which you guys can bring forwrd in this specific case study which people interested will be very eager to hear.
updated ciaz will never come to india because ciaz is not a global success like other models and the segment is already dead. S cross will also not come to india because its designed for european markets and people in europe buy cross overs and station wagons and they don't have much ground clearance. In India we have grand vitara which is already sold through nexa so it will not do that. XL7 will not debut in India cause its a price sensitive market and ertiga is available in seven seater the xl7 will not sell in large number but they can launch but they will not do so cause of the reason that I have stated above
in simple words, never. Ignis, Ciaz and S-cross are long dead. XL6 was a flop making XL7 redundant. They can change the looks and launch XL7 as a premium large car with another name. You cannot have a premium car that looks so similar to Ertiga.
Maruti is just doing what a good business does. It has seen that SUVs have higher margins than small cars, which actually offer much higher value for money than SUVs do, so the shift is away from the customers who made their business with cars like the Maruti 800 and the Alto, to customers who will pay more for prestige and for keeping up with the Joneses by buying expensive SUVs. The best sold SUV is the Brezza, which doesn't even have 4 wheel drive - not that it is required in congested urban roads. Cashing in on gross stupidity is good for business. As illustrated by Brezza, which is part of the Arena sales, Nexa has no locus standi apart from Maruti Suzuki. A car in the present urban scenario should be as small as possible without being cramped, should be fuel efficient, should have a low parking area requirement, should have low maintenance costs. Should be affordable to the same group of people who established the Indian car industry. But the trend is away from that to larger, heavier, less value for money cars that can be shown off. If the government took away the 28 percent gst on small cars, and took the focus off airbags and useless safety ratings and refused to subsidize monstrosities like BEVs, which are nothing more than a large collection of batteries on wheels, maybe the industry would move in the right direction.
If you compare models sold in arena to nexa. Nexa has premium version of something sold in arena showrooms. For brezza they have grand vitara(though grand vitara is a sgment above vehicle.), For swift you have baleno in nexa and for ertiga you have XL6 .
You should sit inside a Japanese Designed Ignis and also inside an Indian Designed Brezza to know why Ignis deserved Nexa. I purchased an Ignis and my opposite house Man purchased a Brezza. I sat inside the Brezza and to my revulsion, the interior plastics are HALF BAKED! Crude to say the least. I shared this with a Jeep compass owner and he laughed aloud!
so you want a premium hatchback to go to Arena that sells cost effective cars and entry level compact SUV lookalike to go to Nexa that is for premium offerings?!
These trios are big guns in Indian automotive scene with the best knowledge than any other magazines. The Indian Jeremy Clarkson, James May, and Richard Hammond
7 lakh cars remain unsold in dealers end today.. Last 3 yrs car company was in arogance hiking price drastically without any consideration for customers.. But now its buyers time, they getting all hiked price from last 3 yrs as discount..
While they may not be officially allowing ARENA to sell Nexa cars, the dealers in practicality of things, are actually selling Nexa cars through their arena showrooms... Its difficult to manage such things... But yes, as you said, the customer is winning in the end...🎉
Suzuki hasnt entered the premium category, neither Nexa isnt a premium Brand.(?)..its just a sugar coating effort by suzuki to pull back potential customers from moving to other brands... Whereas Toyota and Honda are.. Just look how hycross is selling..and see how invicto is selling...just call nexa and enquire invicto..those guys would be taken by surprise 😂... Nexa is nothing but as I said earlier a sugar coated arena, just to make the customer more enthusiastic...and not a paradigm shift from basic Suzuki portfolio.. A mind game brilliantly played..but confused their own customers to a certain extent.. ..over the years Ciaz has seen lesser numbers than it was with arena...S cross didnt see the success it deserved...Ignis is like..I m the go to alternative if you find no alternative...Now fronx is winning at cost of Baleno...Jimny a wonderful product was a perfect mis fit in nexa, it seems customers come in to see the Jimny and drive out with grand vitara😂proper analysis will say ,a cost restricted Jimny sold in arena would ve dondethe Job.. Grand Vitara ,Fronx and Baleno are only ones doing well... Wheras Arena is business as usual..even for unusual models.
