If you talking about sporty and peppy performance then better to consider petrol for that matter & try n ride maruti and Hyundai petrol you'll know k series petrol is so refined and peppy as compared to sluggish Hyundai's petrol

Good to hear that you have mentioned that even though its a compact SUV its front wheel drive. I hate the fact that the market is flooded with compact SUVs but almost all are only front wheel drives. I wish every manufacturer includes a AWD/4WD variant to their respective compact SUV portfolios to make them SUVs in the true sense.

I owned 2 of them Honda City and i20 active after watching this video last Saturday I call my friend who own Brezza and drive it and tested it in so many ways and now I am writing this comment. ...... believe me i20 active is far better than the other two. Honda city is luxurious feel car/ little bit noisy. Brezza is very economical/ bad suspension. i 20 value for money in every sense. If mileage is not a issue for you, you definitely should go for i20.

This is what I was looking for. I already know the comparisons between same segments like City vs Ciaz, Brezza vs Ecosport & Baleno vs i20 but this is what I was looking for a cross platform comparison. With under 10Lac budget I am confused between a proper sedan and a semi SUV. I would like to know what would be a better highway car for family trips. I am based in north india so mostly they would be hills. Also how is the build quality of Breeza compared to City/Ciaz. Finally it is good to see Maruti has a good product for all the three segments I am considering. With Breeza, Baleno and Ciaz they have got it all covered.

+Nishant Wadhwa For long family trips you must consider a car which will provide you better safety and comfort. Obviously, Sedan do have a better comfort but Vitara Brezza is also a good consideration. Rest, go ahead and take a test drive before making the final decision. Do take your family with you for test drive.

Vitara Brezza needs another variant with 1.5 or 1.6L diesel engine. 1.3L "national diesel engine" is tad under powered.

if you ask me, the review felt biased towards the Maruti.. you cannot compare a C Segment car with a B segment urban SUV. I agree that engine in the city diesel is its weakest link in terms of performance when you compare it to its petrol sibling, but if we talk about overall package, it can't be compared with other 2 cars. you didn't mentioned poor plastic quality in the Maruti, panel gaps and no airbag in base model. Not very informative review..

Very informative comparison. Good part is that you have covered all the aspects except the quality and space part .Your ascent is also very clear. But instead of Honda City you could have compared breeza and i 20 active with Honda Jazz , Ford Ecosport , Fiat Aventura , Toyota Etios Cross and Mahindra TUV 300. You cannot compare Honda CIty with the Breeza and I20 active because CIty is priced way more than these cars.

We have a lot of readers tell us their budget, and asking us whether they should buy a hatchback or go in for a sedan costing the same, or may be slightly higher. Given the diverse product portfolio every manufacturer has today, buying decisions are getting more difficult thanks to segments overlapping each other. And since the Brezza's top end isn't significantly inexpensive than the City we felt it made for a valid comparison since we do have buyers ask us if they should go in for a C-segment sedan like the City or a compact SUV.

if you want to realize the difference, pls make a self test drive, don't take a decision based on such reviews. I recently had a test drive and comparison between Honda city and Ciaz (Diesel). In terms of handling, power delivery, premium feel, steering feel...ciaz will not come up to City. Only the drawback I observed in City is slightly higher cabin noise. Made the test drive in same day through same roads (high way, pocket roads (bad roads)....

Brezza is there, Ford Ecosport is there, you will be able to go for the top end variant in this budget and if you are looking for a premium hatch, go for Jazz that also would be a good option to go for.

Yes, as you have said blindfoldedly people are buying vitara breeza and i20. Infact Honda city is a much better Car. this two cars are uncomparable to Honda City in many ways... Vetara breeza is good only in the hilly areas but again not an offraoder. Maintaining wise Honda parts are much better in durability. On the otherhand maruty has more cheaper in spare parts at the same time wear out much faster.

+Zango Gagan If I understand correctly, you wish to know the time interval that these cars take to reach Acceleration of 0-100 kmph. Here, Honda City diesel takes 10 seconds while Hyundai I20 ACTIVE reaches in 15 seconds. Brezza stands between both of them, it reaches the 100 kmph in 13.8 seconds.

I think Ford Ecosport (Build Quality, *safety, powerful engine, performance, features ) is much much better than vitara brezza(poor quality plastics in interiors,not sure about safety, Built quality is not good as other competitors, only plus point is it's price tag..) .. !

Y u guys are not considering safety and build quality which all three cars lacking. Guys always go for a good and good built cars with safety equipments. I know performance also important. Ford VW fiat way ahead of these Japanese and Korean cars. Good quality cars always bit high to maintain and they use good quality spare parts that's why it's costly unlike Maruthi which has cheap quality spare parts and body. If look at the service intervals for VW it's once in 15k Kms or 1 year and for Maruthi 5k or 6 months. If u take that into consideration obviously polo is cheaper and I own swift Vdi and it's not cheap to maintain Think safety first guys

when i come across car reviews and it's comment section people talk about plastic plastic plastic. . what does it do afterall?? if a car take any brand tag vw, ford, honda, fiat hit to any Indian lorry I'm 100% sure it cannot survive the impact! !! there are few ridiculous company cars they do possess airbags still it won't open at the time of impact.. it's really crazy.. to talk about plastics.. there are even wonderful guys are there who fight over the engine speed of bikes or cars like they just invented it!!!!! end up on roads like dead rotten smashed tomatoes/watermelons there still more people who doesnt want to help the victims rather they busy in doing videos for whatsapp or youtube and even on movie heroes!!! like they are the reason for their birth! !!! never ending sequences... even with all these people I simply LOVE MY INDIA....

A buyers mindset is always on point that what are the available options in price range. I am owing honda petrol ivtec and will soon upgrade to brezza. Honda city is best in highways but Brezza can smoothly ride over broken roads which i am facing in rural area. Overall good package. Nice comparison.

the vitara is underpowered, has cheap interiors, which the reviewer calls familiar lol.A 5 lakh swift and a 10 lakh vitara have the same interiors, that's a big negative for me. the engine let's u down while overtaking and u don't have the confidence to overtake. it's a risk buying underpowered vehicles..don't buy rubbish like this.

brezza, that grill is just yuck, no character and soul, even the alto 800 and kwid have got some character and identity, brezza is lackluster,bland,bad, thug even if just consider sub 4m suv's. Their is literally nothing which stands out, i dont know why it sells, that grill makes me angry and feel intolerable, how on earth people are paying for a car so confused, lackluster, easily lost in crowd.

Shubham Bansal ciaz, duster, ecosport, s-cross, baleno, vento, rapid whichever fits your budget and looks the most apt to you, brezza is just a bigger swift,nothing else it is not even inch of what it claims to be; SUV, it gets lost in the crowd as well, all the vehicles i mentioned atleast have mature looks and identity of own, not made just to fool customers, and if you have to buy only a maruti suzuki then why not a ciaz or baleno atleast they are true hatch and sedan, looks porportionate and can do all what sedans and hatchbacks are intended to while maintaining the character.
