Marvel Champions Deck Building with Sidekick 

I love Quicksilver so I'll definitely try Sidekick with him. My current thinking on Sidekick is that you either go this way where you lean heavily into the Voltron by having more allies who can use the upgrades effectively (X-Men are probably good for this), or you have the Sidekick as one aspect of the deck but not the main focus, maybe just running a couple of copies of Side by Side and a small number of upgrades. Maybe even run only Sidekick for a hero who likes to flip a lot, like Black Widow, where you can keep the ally alive by doing basic recoveries.

Working on a Vision/Viv Daddy-Daughter deck. She's a surprisingly effective ally.

My first deck with Sidekick was on pool/leadership Spiderwoman with one of the best signature allies in the game, slower buildup isn't a problem because she has many tools and when engine is running... she is unstoppable.

I'm not a big Leadership aspect player so I don't know how good the heroes play in Leadership but the allies that strike me as good for Sidekick (some with Side by Side, some don't need it), with zero play testing are - Brawn (needs SBS but can hold things down while IH is building up), Cable (big threat removal), CapMarvel (card draw), Diamondback (heals), Gamora (extra upgrade procs), Mantis (duh), MsMarvel (extra event procs), Outlaw (extra dmg), Psylocke (x2 heals or readies for Angel with SBS), Quicksilver (just a great ally), Scarlet Witch (just a great ally), Ven#m (just a great ally), Vivian (we all know its really Viv's deck), Wong (not that DS needs any help, but he's a great ally), War Machine (in certain scenarios 2 dmg (with SBS) to all enemies can be great), Wolverine (looks like with SBS and a Jubs flip you can get 7 damage off with just him add in an event from her and you can get minimum half a villain stage in solo out of the way in one turn).

I think you are correct, that Sidekick will run better as a multiplayer card. The deck I made is certainly probably a multi-player-only deck. I love the Drax deck idea. May have to try that sometime. So a few ideas I've had, granted, I have neither played nor seen Sidekick ran yet, so this is all theory. Sp//DR. With a potential huge 5/5 stat line as VEN#m's base stats, you could have some huge turns with this. That being said, in a solo game, with this amount of build-out, you could have likely won the game already. May be alright in a multi-player game. May try it next time my wife or I pick her up. Not my idea, but I saw an Ironheart deck utilizing Brawn, which seemed like a pretty solid idea. Sad to hear Spider-woman didn't work, as she was one of my ideas. But, I also think, having two signatures gives a huge advantage to this deck, which leaves only Domino and Bishop. And the character I think that can pull this off the best right now is probably Bishop, who will be the first character I run it with in our family game. His allies both have built-in readies and heals, but can be wonky to pull off, a couple extra hit points should help smooth that out. They can both use danger room training, Advanced Suit and game time to help keep them on the table and deal more damage, and they Voltron really well. This also has the added benefit of really thinning Bishop's deck, which he likes a lot. It may not work, but I think it may be the character the cards came with may be a really good target.

[[11:00]] You are saying that with suit up in your opening hand you can play Scarlet Witch and Sidekick in the same turn. But how? After playing Suit Up to get Scarlet and Sidekick you have five cards in your hand. Scarlet costs 3 so there would be no Ressource left for playing Sidekick. Am I missing something? 🤔

My 1st sidekick deck will be with angel I feel he has alot of options for his signature ally Considering psylocke can heal with angel and ready archangel.

For bad sidekick targets - there is the upcoming Iceman who has a signature ally you can't attach upgrades!

I actually thought about making a deck revolving around Sidekick, Suit Up and Side by Side. I was thinking about the same heroes as you did too, X-23 and Wolverine immediately came in mind, then shortly after, Spider-Woman. Quicksilver, not so much, I think he's best if he just focuses on making himself stronger. I came to the conclusion that this engine makes both X-23 and Wolverine significantly more inconsistent and frankly, weaker than my usual go-to builds. The engine itself takes way too much space and Suit Up is a dead card once I get my signature ally. Side-By-Side is also a dead card until I get my ally and the upgrade. If my first hand has very important setup cards, like Adamantium Skeleton or Paint Tolerance with Suit Up, I have to either give up on the setup or the ally, which is a huge sacrifice in my experience. In theory, I liked these cards as soon as they got announced. I was like, yaay, I can search for Honey Badger even more consistently! But in reality, I found this engine extremely lackluster and very inconsistent. Different folks might have a better experience than me, but after trying it out with both X-23 and Wolverine, I'd rather just not use these cards.
