@MA Magneto is in the same level with phoenix. He can literally control any material, as he can control the electro magnetic field of atoms. We don't see his real power in movies, but in comics his power is unlimited

@MA I have already answered this question. Magneto's control over nonferouss materials in the comics as he has done before is because all atoms contain electromagnetic fields which hold the protons to the neutrons and electrons, and therefore hold the atom together into molecules etc, magnetism can be used to manipulate anything. He just need to concentrate enough.

@MA i know it's confusing, but we are talking about universe where a guy transforms into a green monster, someone can run fast like a light, girl who can manipulate the weather and a guy who has everything super (super sight, super hearing, super strength, can fly and throw laser from his eyes etc) and you are still trying to find logic and physic laws. Over time the use of the stones weakened Thanos. Notice how much more powerful he was in End Game, that’s because the stone hadn’t damaged him

But Strange saw all the possible futures of the fight with Thanos and must’ve seen that using the time stone wouldn’t have defeated Thanos.

Cory Ryans But there is a difference between being “stronger” vs being more “powerful”. The stones made him powerful, but not necessarily stronger. For instance, when Capt Marvel is fighting him she is doing pretty well against him until he takes the power stone itself off the glove and hits her with it (iirc - he took the stone off to use it). Same with Dr. Strange, his strength doesn’t increase or decrease because he has the time stone, but he’s more powerful when he actually uses it. The question would be, would Thanos fighting CM have the same outcome if he wasn’t wearing the gauntlet, versus wearing the gauntlet put not using the power of any of the stones. It does make sense that possessing the stones, even one, takes a great deal of strength to possess it. Which means that holding onto the stone takes some effort. This may well be within the capabilities of some of the characters (like Dr. Strange, Thanos, etc), but the strength require to possess each additional gets progressively more difficult and that effort could “weaken” the possessor of all the stones. It’s perfectly logical. Is that how the Russo brothers/MCU chose for it to be? That’s another question. It is pretty certain that using all the stones does take a substantial toll out of the user - it killed IM, wounded the Hulk and Thanos.

Classic Dr. Strange and HoM Wanda could beat any version of Thanos that doesn't have relics like the IG or HOTU. So could Legion, Dormammu, Odin, and Rune King Thor. There are more but I'm just listing characters that have been in MCU movies or live action TV shows.
