I agree with this. I have the original Baf but never did I feel cheated. In fact the moment I laid eyes on it, I was like “Yes! Hasbro’s listening to us.” Now if we could figure out this nonsense with Red Hulk, we’d be golden(although I think part of that is on Target).
I agree with you. I think some of the upset comes from the fact that Eddie’s Venom was never this big. Mac Gargan’s Venom was infamous for being huge. So this version, while really cool, isn’t comic accurate.
Stop motion showing the articulation was top shelf idea man. Hope you use this in other future videos. As always , great review , informative and hilarious. " I am Groot." 😄
Gotta respectfully disagree. The amount of extra effort he has to put into isn't, I feel, as effective as his usual quick run down. It is so consise and informative that I'm pretty sure many of us have that standard rundown memorised enough to know immediately whats different. "Arms can come up that far rotate 360 bicep rotation double jointed elbows come up that far hinge at the wrist can crunch that far legs come out that far forward that far kick back that far thigh cut double jointed knees boot cut ankle rotation and you do have ankle pivot!"
As a kid I always wanted to be a collector. Unfortunately my parents weren't of too much money so that they could spend on action figures. As I grew up and earned money, I bought some of the figures I really wanted as a kid, and watching your videos just make me happy. Thank you man
I love this figure but would it kill them to throw in some kind of accessories. An alternate head a pair of fist hell I’ll take a pile of symbiotic goop just something to make it feel a little more unique
I think the reason some reviewers compare size with unrelated figures is that the viewer might be new to the line and comparing to many different lines the viewer might already collect so the more different toy lines compared the more likely every viewer will have at least one figure from the other lines and will have a better chance of understanding the size difference.
chucker173 Really, the only comparison anyone needs is a pizza Spidey figure mold. Everyone has that body mold, in some sort of deco or another. For real, not necessary, but if you guys think that’s quality content maybe I should do endless size comparisons in my videos too. 😂
@@ShartimusPrime That seemed a little defensive, Shartimus. What would be a more reasonable reaction would be to do size comparisons to one "average" figure from a handful of popular lines with various figures. A bit like what you do, just less Marvel Legends and more, say Neca or some such. You have to remember that every video could be someone's very first time seeing your content, and that one video might be what gets them really into the wonderful hobby. So, the more wide-reaching your comparisons, the more likely you are to hit on something they might be familiar with. Also I don't have a Pizza Spider-Man mold figure. Tons of Hot Toys though, which you seldom seem to do size comparisons with. But that's okay.
@@ShartimusPrime e.g why would someone need to see the icons venom compared to the baf? Comparing to other lines makes more sense than comparing to the same character in differnet scales. Plus it was pretty rude if you to mock the guys voice. Smh shartimus i expected better.
killzone 1401 Man, I really don’t care that much. The goal of the segment was to be funny. You guys in this thread suck the fun out of my video, I think you guys are dicks. Let’s just part ways, huh? Hugs all around, and good-bye with well wishes.
that lil dig at other reviewers wasn't needed my dude, i like those since i collect other lines and it helps me decide on figs from time to time on scale. just do your thing otherwise folks can comment on your stuff as well.
I think the benefit of showing multiple size comparisons for figures even if they don't make "sense" is covering every body mold size as well as seeing how they scale between other lines. Think D_Amazing or Daredevil19, they've always shown how certain figures scale with other "unrelated" figures, but I love their reviews because they cover more bases for true sense of scale. Just a thought. Loved the stop motion articulation too!
Really, it’s a joke, it’s great that people do different stuff. But this was a trend that needed a little poking, so I had fun with it. Nothing truly wrong with lots of size comparisons. I get it, unlike so many got my joke. Smh 2020
@@ShartimusPrime right, I can't make any type of clean joke on social media anymore without getting bombarded by comments uh, I miss the simpler times lol, great review though shartimus keep up the awesome work
The stopmotion articulation was cool but I feel like that took a long time to do. Maybe if the stopmotion was a bit slower we could see it even better too.
Though you review some figures very late I desperately wait for your review. You are my favourite action figure reviewer and one of my favourite youtuber. I started reviewing my action figures in your style in my language(except stop motion). People call me small shartimus. Love from India.
Yes. Yes yes yes yes yes YES!!!!! The new articulation segment is amazing!!!!!!!!! Please keep doing this! I’ve never had a problem with the original articulation segments, but this is a nice way to spice things up a bit for ur channel, and kind of separate your channel from other reviewers! Love ya Shartimus keep up the good work!!!!!!
In my opinion the best Venom figure will always be the Marvel Select. It has the best body proportions, extra head (closed mouth, open mouth and a head transforming into Eddie Brock) and extra hands, nice paint and fits well with Marvel Legends. The only downside is the lack of range of motion in the legs. You will not regret this figure!
I hope Hasbro make more marvel legends headsculpts for all figures with a special line that sells those heads each seperately Who else is hoping To get the Tom Hardy Venom marvel legends figures line? I hope Hasbro will make it soon, the design of the symbiote is sick!!!
I honestly watch all reviews when it comes to characters I love, if someone does a review on one and another does a review on the same character....that’s just more to love and appreciate out of a review for the characters! Which makes me want to get the figure even more, or better yet... open it up and play around (I usually collect to leave in box) I know I’m a monster, but now I’ve come to terms with opening up and playing, because sooner or later they will rerelease a figure. And shartimus sir, keep the stop motion, it was fun... but slowing it down a little gives us SLOW guys a chance to see it better. Keep up the wonderful work my dude
seriously... everyone is going to love this stop motion articulation segment... I don't even think there is a debate about how awesome it was.... honestly there are enough reviewers out there doing the same 'articulation' video that it's always been a thing of mine to skip through anyway... the stop motion looks cool... as someone pointed out, throw in some type of music signalling that it's a different part of the video and it will be something people will demand.
Shartypants! This is hands down the best toy review video I've ever seen! I appreciate the hell out of all the extra work you put into it! I lost it at Venom party! Great job, man.
FYI: It's actually fun to mix characters from different series. Some collectors like to do crossovers and mash ups of characters from different universes with their figures. It would be boring to just compare them to figures that relate to that character
YounKnowJACK FYI: It’s a joke. I obviously wouldn’t know hella people were doing this if I hadn’t already spent time watching. And I don’t waste time watching stuff I don’t want to watch. Dammit, joke ruined! You’re a ruiner, see? Immortalized in the comment section as “YouKnowJACK the Big-Time Ruiner.” Lol! Come on guys, unclump your boxers and let’s try to have fun.
That stop motion articulation part was hella cool, also so true about other channels having 2 figures together that aren’t even in the same universe, so weird
Hey Shartimus do you remember the custom Venom that Glen Webb made? I thought that was a great looking custom. I would like to know your thoughts ? I'm sure you remember. This figure reminds me of it... R.I.P. Glen
I love the stop-motion articulation. 👍🏽 Its a more effective demonstration and I haven’t seen anyone do it that way before. But man that must take ages to do!
SHART you could limit the stop motion articulation for the larger figures. 1. Amazing to see it come to life 2. Save you some time/stress 3. It feel like a gift from you to us PLUS we'd tune in expecting it/ something to look forward to.
I'm so glad about this re release, I wanted to collect most of the symbiotes and really didn't want to buy a lackluster Spider-ham to get this figure, so this makes me so happy.
LOVEE this video man! The articulation stop motion is very very cool but it should be a little slower, please keep them coming! And the random comparisons lol! These little details really make this vid really fun to watch!
Sorry I'm a yr late but honestly this is the best Venom figure made. Before this my favorite version was the Toybiz one where it has the button on his back to move his tongue except mine didn't have the tongue. Well this version made me forgot about the old one. I feel this is the iconic version of Venom. It's the one I remember from the comic classic Venom: Lethal Protector.
I'm Actually ordering this figure very soon on Amazon, since I missed the monster venom, great review man, I've been watching your vids since I was a wee boi, thx for being an inspiration man
Eric Harker Dude, we have to be able to look at ourselves and see where things can be better. I personally think too many comparisons is dull, and things could be better. It’s a part of learning to change and improving. It’s actually a quite positive message if you really think about it.
@@ShartimusPrime How is it positive to throw shade at the way others review their figures? If people don't like it they can unsub, or even dislike if they really want to. Some people want to take shots of Storm Scorpion fighting a Legends. Knowing how these things scale will give them an idea of whether or not a good photo is viable, or if it even belongs on their shelf.
