Not really, Sentai already exist before this adaptation of Spider-Man, the very first Sentai (Goranger) was from 1975 and Toei's Spider-Man was 1978. But the giant robot concept in Sentai from 1979 was based of Spider-Man's Leopardon.

When you create the Spiderverse, be sure that the actor portraying the JAPANESE Spider Man must be a JAPANESE actor and not some random chinese. I've seen a lot of hollywood movies butchering Japanese characters by giving the roles to chinese actors. Give the Japanese actors the credit they deserve Marvel! Japanese actors deserved to be acknowledged in the global scene!

Power Rangers was not inspired by Spider-Man, Super Sentai came before the tokusatsu tv show of Spider-Man, the mecha pilot addition to Super Sentai came from the show though, Power Rangers is adapted for American sensibilities and whatever personal tastes people would have in a specific time.

There are actually a few Japanese Spider-Men (2 other Spider-Men with different names and background, albeit nearly similar Spidey powers' origins) that they could very well make their own little cross-over too. It'd be swell to see the Tragic Japanese Spider-Man (Komori Yu), Spider-Man J (Amano Sho), and Supaida-Man / Japanese Spider-Man (Yamashiro Takuya) teaming up to fight against a multi-verse threat in a manga series.

Stan Lee & his wife Joan went to Japan & saw an episode of a super sentai show (original Japanese Power Rangers) he loved it so much that he actually wanted the show to be released in the west but Joan told him that they can't because no one understands Japanese & Stan told her that they could get English dub voice overs or subtitled it but never happened.

Really? I mean, I know they had dubs of all sorts of anime back then. I guess live action would require a different approach.

@@swanthechosenone3975 maybe Marvel today could still make a deal with Toei to release any Tokusatsu show in the west but I'm sure Toei would decline likely due to either not wanting to collab with a western film studio or not that popular in the west. Despite some of their shows already gotten released in western media such as English subtitled DVDs & English translated manga like Ultraman.

@@kidn00b1 dubbing live actions seemed difficult in the 70s especially since at the time dubbing is more about following the lip movement than following the translation.

@@rickythemaddragonxiong8757 Now that I think about it, I watched a lot of Godzilla, Ultraman, and Gamera and I remember how bad the lip movement was with the dub. It was charming though.

I love this spiderman (i first discover this show when i saw a card of japanese spiderman with his mecha back in the mid 90s) because of my friend who grew up in japan and has family there. He got a lot of manga, vhs tapes, videogame and collectible stuff back in the day.
