@@toren2099 The story is debatable, but there's no denying the gameplay and overall technical aspect of the game is very very polished and is essentially next-gen.

Nothing, Spiderman was built around Spiderman but here, you have them trying to make a game about a bunch of different characters who should have widely different games. Only Ironman and Thor can fly, Hulk need destructible environments, BW needs espionage elements, and Captain America is trash. it doesn't make sense beyond a button mash.

@@sws212 The Marvel MMO game that was like Diablo managed to do a lot better than this, and it had wayyyy more characters. You can balance a game and still cater to each of the character's abilities. This was just lazy all around.

It would be a bit more work to make a game with missions you could complete by sneaking in with Black Widow, smashing through the front door with Hulk and breaking everything, the middle ground of flying hit-and-run attacks mixed with close combat proficiency of Thor and Iron Man, or by ignoring Captain America in the character selection. Like the various loud/quiet ways to complete missions in Hitman or Splinter Cell. You approach a target building as Black Widow. She draws your attention to her ability to rappell across from the building opposite, infiltrate through the roof and sneak in. Inside you have combat that's like the sneaking sections of Arkham Asylum, mixed with hacking, stealth, and such challenges. As Hulk you smash through the front door and fight your way through waves of goons. Iron Man and Thor could attempt to go in either the roof or front door, or go through an upper window and use their flight and speed for hit-and-run attacks, use their close combat proficiency to slug it out, or a mix. These are the jack of all trades characters. Or you could play frisbee with Cap, playing a more tactical version of Hulk's method as he isn't a bullet sponge like Hulk. It would be a challenge, but it would be doable. Most importantly, it would make each character feel unique, and make us feel like Black Widow/Hulk/etc.

LEGO Marvel Superheroes. LEGO Avengers sucks but I confirm, is probably better than this.

Lego marvel superheroes is honestly pretty solid though, got it on Switch recently

Nah Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 is awesome! but yeah they shoulda gotten the arkham treatment.

I am really glad I watched this. I don't know who Ms. Marvel was and now knowing you basically play the entire game as captain big hands, I have no interest. Also, "beloved character?" I just read she's one of the lower selling books and been on the verge of cancellation multiple times. Not sure if that's true, but yeah...that's a nope from me dawg.

You're telling me I was supposed to actually believe those characters were dead when I knew they were on contract to do sequels (flashbacks don't count because they can just recycle footage)? PLEASE

When would it have ever been acceptable? The PS3's cell was notoriously difficult to code for, but I don't remember a single game that had graphics glitches like this. Was this even _uncommon_ ? Because it should be unheard of in all but severely troubled C-tier studio game productions.

Thing is, everything in the game is possible to unlock without paying a dime. if you have money you can straight up pay to unlock everything from the start though, so that sucks.

@@marinebymistake As far as player count goes, its tanking and revenues are doing pretty bad even with mtx for cosmetics being available.

@@marinebymistake Looter shooters might peak based on their IP or dev or marketing campaign.... But the very nature of their design makes longevity a gameplay necessity, and when your gameplay sucks THIS bad.... There's a reason, no matter how monotone and content draught-y they may get, Warframe and Destiny pretty much rules supreme. Their gameplay loops are SOLID.

Kenneth Vera blas I think my issue is - I don’t have many friends that have this game and it’s difficult to do online as you and the other players all want to do things. I was mainly in it for the story but the multiplayer elements in the story made it hard

To me, it felt like Cap and Widow's gameplay felt like they had the most weight. It all just felt rushed, from writing to gameplay. Subpar at best, try again. PS4 Spiderman still holds more water than Marvel's Avengers.

Ben Anasarias I mean I prefer repetitive beat em up over repetitive Ubisoft map clearing. Granted I loooved Spider Man, i feel this game HAD/HAS more potential for gameplay loop, once Spider man and the DLC were beat I didn’t really have incentive to come back.

Don't blame you, they made the villains a joke in this game. The Abomination shows up out of nowhere and just leaves the story. Modo, basically a living computer, is made to look like an idiot for not being able to figure out Tony's 123 level password (which is stupid in of itself)

Like they learned from xv so it just seems weird that they’d put out something like this unless they were only doing it to fulfill their contract.

They almost had nothing to do with it tho ,they were mostly the publishers and owners of the studios ,it was entirely done by crystal and eidos and uses the game engine developed by crystal that eidos also worked on for tomb raider but people at enix wouldn't work and learn an entirely new game engine when it's not designed to be used by masses in the first place not to mention the visuals and story were completely different from what they usually do and response to an above comment ,they didn't make nier ,they published ,you can't give credit for that to them ,its like activision published sekiro ,ea published fallen order, Bethesda published doom and there are other examples bethesda didnt make doom they own the studio that did. This should kinda be common knowledge I mean.

Roose Bolton this isn’t a fighting game. There’s combat/fighting in it, but it would be better as a singleplayer game. That way your own experience doesn’t depend on the cooperation of random people you don’t even know.

Sadly, if Avengers is anything to go by, they'll be forced to make the next Deus Ex a loot grinder as well.

Ehhh, I would rather they just remaster Deus Ex(2000) for PC and next-gen consoles instead of trying to make a bend new Deus Ex game. The last two games were pretty terrible in terms of writing and how poorly they tried to handle and appropriate real world subject matters into the games in a respectable or meaningful way. I would rather they just distance themselves away from the franchise outside of a remaster of the first game until they hire a better writing team that actually knows how handle real world subject matters properly and respectively. As it stands right now, their current writing team just isn't cutting it at all for the franchise.
