As mentioned, the diaphragm install is critical to getting this carb running decent. Make sure it doesn't get out of position when you are compressing that spring to put in the screws. Take your time. If its not properly installed and fuel gets by, the tractor will behave like it is running with the choke on, coughing with black smoke out the exhaust. It would also be great to see a demo of installing a new accelerator jet, driving out the old and positioning the new to press back in.

You are very knowledgable in fixing tractors. You could be an instructor at any junior or high school if you ask me. Some school districts do not require a college degree just experience in this field. Have a great day!!!

Hi Rachel. I'm not criticizing the job on the carburetor, but I think a final step should be included. The fuel tank should be checked and cleaned if needed and a fuel filter replaced or installed to assure the cleanest fuel supply possible into the freshened carburetor.

Wish I would have found your website when I was rebuilding my two four cylinder diesel John Deers. Industrial use pull hydraulic pumps. A Lot of adapting from bell housings to flywheel to mount and drive hydraulic pumps.

I'm working on a 1966 Allis Chalmers d 15 series 2 atm, It has the Marvel Schebler carb on it also. Thank you very much for the vid. However, it's going to be a while before i get to the carb.

Another tech tip from another mechanic. Do not be stingy with your gloves while you are in cleaning phase of your carburetor. I've noticed that some solvents will react with nitrile gloves, so don't be afraid to change your gloves out if they start to feel different on your hands. Another tip is to wear those nitrile gloves inside your heavy chemical gloves. Sometimes it's easy to have solvents roll down into the cuffs of your gloves.

That's an easy problem to solve. Step 1 go buy an old tractor, step 2 watch Rachel's videos, step 3 fix your tractor, step 4 drive it around and enjoy it! You don't need a farm to enjoy a tractor. Restoring and driving is very satisfying. You are also preserving a piece of farming history.

I bought a 4010 john deere tractor that hasn't been turned on in about 20 plus years. I want to change oil and put all new filters and clean out my diesel tank and put new diesel in it. My concern is how to bleed my injector pump without damaging it. What advise can you give me to do before trying to start without causing any damge to my tractor. Thank you!

They always told me you remove the marvel slobber carb,put a cast iron Zenith on , dump the MS in the scrap Barrel, Makes them a completely different tractor immediately

I like watching Rachel's videos because she uses complete sentences when she speaks, isn't constantly flashing gang symbols and obviously comes from a home were they still have good core values. Rachel is a shot of fresh air on a website (youtube.com) that has become littered with videos by bed-wetter's and thumb suckers, emptied-headed opinionists and over-hyped losers being fronted by some mega - conglomerate.
