i really enjoyed the movie! it was a fun time while still managing to have its serious and touching moments, and i was able to sustain my disbelief due to the great acting! already saw it twice, and it holds up! it’s no black panther, but then again, it wasn’t trying to be.
I felt the same. Just subscribed. I listened to slashfilm where you appeared and you were the best there you hit all the points and I was "this guy knows his stuff" and loved the movie. Well I'm a fan now. Good job! Gave cm 8.5 by the way...
Good review. One of the few reviewers I've seen who've picked up on the fact that this movie was first and foremost a sci-fi film. And a particular kind of sci-fi film that was popular in the late 80s and early 90s, the fish-out-of-water, alien/person from the future, appears in "current" earth and tries to blend in while hunting someone/something. I didn't know that I missed those films until I saw CM.
Okayyyy, brave words there: Great Casting choice...going to love her as Chris Evans or Robert Downey Jr. back in time in their roles...great story... I hope your're right son. Going to watch it on saturday. No hate or sth, but i'm carefully cuz trailers looked quite uninteresting, very predictable, brie larson doesn't shine in the trailers in any way (chris and robert did push the movie) and I heard the story is incredible stupid from some ppl. Hope you're right. I'll give it a fair chance. Don't mind all the hate or hype around it. I'm going to watch a movie (and it has a small Marvel bonus on top) and hope that it's good that's all.
I enjoyed it, I feel like their are elements that are missing from Carol being Captain Marvel. See when I watch Chris. Evans as Steve Rogers I am totally sold on the idea. Brie didn’t necessarily accomplish this as effectively .
Jeremy Jahns really didnt like this movie at all. Screen Junkies were fairly cool on it too. This is the most positive review I have come across on RU-vid so far.
I wouldn't say Jeremy didn't like it "at all". He thinks it's average with some redeemable elements like the villain and the flow of the plot. Just didn't like it as much as most Marvel flicks.
In any project there will be nay sayers. Grab some nice food and enjoy the movie on Friday in order for you to enjoy Avengers Endgame even further. Namaste.
People are just vowing not to see this movie which is their choice...but people were saying the same about Venom. Great review can't wait to judge it for myself.👍
All the hater from many who have not seen the movie. However the folks that were able to see the earlier viewing are saying positive things. I hope this movie do great things

I didn't read all reviews so idk if the little blurbs leading the reviews are inaccurate but most seem to be well this movie is "meh" but they give it a tomato But I remember the last time I was all interested in RT score was JL and those "meh" reviews mostly got splats so idk.
Yes. The neckbeards are furious that Brie Larson had....gasp...opinions about things. Nothing will convince the neckbeards and threatened "men" to change their opinion.
There's a rumor that they will redo some scenes if the movie fails. It's just a RUMOR by the way, or just some random comment I saw with wishful thinking. I'm hoping it's the former lol.
I'm glad you loved it. Most of the reviewers said it was underwhelming and had lots of issues. "Not bad, but not great" is the phrase I heard in general, so it's nice to see someone who genuinely loved it.
Feel another last Jedi coming on, as soon as a woman comes guys complain feminism is being shoved down there throats and so anyone who likes it and goes against this is then put down because there can be no difference in opinion despite film being subjective lolololol
They came out and said this was a feminist movie. And the marketing makes that clear with the “HERo” tag line in the trailer. There isn’t anything wrong with a female main character, but when it’s forced people are going to call Hollywood out on it.

And most of those make journalists most likely work for the female ones of they say that. I said the population 50% women, not white. And I didn't bring up the US population. I watched a lot of reviews and although they are mixed first no one had this much positivity even the most positive review I saw. Second one of the major things all of them said was that Captain Marvel was presented as a flawless character which is why they didnt feel a good connection with. Idk why you are saying otherwise. This is getting really confusing.
On the other hand, the cast and the directors were claiming time and again that she is a flawed character, trying to find her roots. Well, gotta watch the movie to find out.
If you are a real die hard Marvel fan, you know Cap Marvel always used to be a failure in the comics. They tried several times in the comics, it never turned out good. And now suddenly Cap Marvel is great? ... About B. Larson; shitty personality. Don't wanna see her in any movie.
@@Bundwich You know what is flawed? Making 20 movies in 10 years about the Avengers and at the end the Avengers can't do it. Cap Marvel was never mentioned once in 19 movies and suddenly there she is. Big Bullshit!
Are there 2 Captain Marvel films showing? This review is one big gush over everything while all other reviews are saying it's ok but surely not great. I guess it's all subjective but it dows come away slightly fanboyed
