I only don't agree with adding Hawkeye. I would rather he be a skin for Green Arrow, and Ant-Man gets his own slot. Also, as someone who doesn't really vibe with the Watchmen, I would add Peacemaker instead of Comedian, but if there would be a Watchmen character, I would add Dr. Manhattan since that's the one I know the most about.
We've seen Bane. Should be Clayface in that spot. Bunch of these characters can also be premier skins to free up spots, too (I.E. Daredevil/ Nightwing, Doctor Fate/Strange, and Hawkeye/ Green Arrow). Could also do assist characters for people like Ant-Man and Jean Grey (Storm would be better as a full character).
This is the best Marvel and DC roster I've ever seen, it feels like nobody is left out, and even if due to development constraints you'd have to make some of them DLC, that'd be baller as hell. I may use your roster as reference if I ever want to draw out designs for a potential Marvel VS DC game :) Looking a little more into it, Venom being left out does suck BUT, not only can you reference him with alternative costumes like giving Spider-Man a black symbiote costume and even have it have special voicelines, you could just end up including Venom as DLC. Plus, if you wanted a gun-guy you could've easily chosen Punisher. With this being able to be its own continuity you can kinda combine continuities and give him and Daredevil their relationship from the Marvel Netflix shows as if Daredevil and him got into a fight and the context is that Punisher is going for a kill that Daredevil is trying to stop or something :] But yea, I kinda agree that Dr. Manhattan would've probably have been a better choice than The Comedian
I have an idea where you can implement something from Injustice 2 where you get different characters just by changing skin, which creates different dialogues and interactions without needing to give them a different moveset. If a Marvel vs DC fighting game ever came out, it would break the internet. It would probably be the biggest game ever(definitely the biggest game of the year) if it’s good. With that in mind it would probably have a big roster. I was gonna go with 40 but then I remembered. This would have to be split between the two. While a little disappointing, you could probably get away with having only 20 people for DC. You would mostly be pulling from the Justice League. That will not work for Marvel. They are too spread out. With only 20 slots you would need a representatives from The Avengers, X-Men, All of the Fantastic 4 and Guardians, plus the solo heros like Spider-Man. That’s only the heros. You also gonna need their villains too. With that in mind I decided this roster would probably have to be 80 characters. I know that’s probably too much but hey. You nailed your dc list but my personal marvel list would be Iron-man, Captain America, Thor, Hawkeye, Black widow, Spider-Man, iron fist, wolverine, blade, daredevil, winter soldier, war machine, ant man, task master, quicksilver, Loki, Psylocke, punisher, falcon, vision, magneto, nova, red skull, ghost rider, dr strange, drax, ultron, green goblin, dr octopus, captain marvel, gambit, cyclops, moon knight, scarlet witch, hulk, human torch, Black Panther , Storm, Rocket and Groot, Ms Marvel, dark phoenix/jean grey, Nova, Star lord, Venom, Dr doom, She hulk, Thanos, Deadpool, gamora, and kang. I also think that as a dlc (kinda like injustice) they need some other disney and warner bros characters like luke skywalker, darth vader, Indiana jones, pennywise, etc. that would be sick. And it is possible because NetherRealm's is a subsidiary of warner bros. so if they pick up the game then it is possible we see other characters from the ips.
I know this isn't included in your video but further expanding you idea, they should also have skins for each and every fighter. with the rarities rare epic legendary and mythic ( i know what your thinking). rare skins would keep the same model as the default skin, but the colors would change, epic would be the same model as the default skin, but the colors would animate creating like an animated design. legendary would be all of the different suits and uniforms from the movies, comics, and the games own unique skin designs. this would change the face models and suit models, maybe add specific voice lines tied to each skin (ex: if opponent is wearing the captain America suit from avengers 1 then the your character would mention Steve's "American ass"). And mythic would be the skins which completely change the voice and move set for the character. like a miles from spider verse mythic skin, which would give the character new moves but keep the damage the exact same, so its not pay to win.

Background music too louddd and too much f-bombs swearing.. 😮 But as unlikely as disney and wb working together is, I would make the roster a one off collectors edition (no dlc, no guests), small core roster of core avengers vs justice league with joker (with harley quinn cameo assist) and (deciding marvels main villain is not as easy, the obvious choice is thanos but he would not be a good counter to joker, so norman osborne the green goblin would be a good opposite villain/boss character to the joker, and as spiderman-universe is marvels most popular brand, or alternatively red skull - as the traditional choice of avengers main villain). Thats gonna make most ppl buy the game. But if it was for me i would change it to this 11vs11 - (some choices for originality as have not featured in injustice or mvc) - *Superman, Batman, Flash, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Aquaman, Green Arrow, Hawkman, Beast Boy, Plastic Man, Lex Luthor* *Spiderman, Hulk, Iron Man, Captain America, Captain Marvel, Black Widow, Black Panther, Human Torch, Wolverine, Daredevil, Green Goblin* Variation of freshened up roster and different fighting styles. But it wont happen so someone should just create an HD anime style mugen or mod the characters into some existing fighting game that is moddable.
