Marvels Spider-Man Hasn't Aged The Best. 

Spider-man helping a man get over the passing of his wife by webslinging through Gotham and catching pigeons really made me build my morales

There's just a big reason I like Web Of Shadows and Ultimate Spiderman over the ps4 Spiderman game WoS's had... 1:Comic Accuracy 2:Superior Combat 3:Technical Web Swinging 4:Written like a Comic 5:Voice Acted like a superhero tv show 6:Did not feel like a live action superhero experience 7:Did not bring in CW/MCU acting 8:Wall Combat 9:Messes with the idea of Spiderman's Moral 10:Has great crossovers of characters that also feel comic accurate 11:Random cool crime missions and enemies everywhere and it ramps it CRAZY through the storyline 12:Gives you the option between good and bad 13:Gives you two different playstyles of good and evil hack n slash combo sets that you can unlock 14:Having many of spidermans super hero friends in the city as regulars I hope the sequel adds some inspiration from WOS'S. Overall I enjoyed Spiderman PS4 but I really hope the combat adds more martial arts of spiderman alongside wall combat, and pushes more of a comic feel rather than a live action mcu feel to it.

I wished I hadn’t watched this. You just recontextualized my entire experience. I loved WoS. Been trying to find it as a Backwards Compatibility game but no dice. This is my favorite character and the ability to swing and wear all those costumes without DLC or microtransactions was wonderful. Without my bias, everything you mentioned is legit. I definitely hated MJ, and thought Harry missions were pointless. The car chases were the worst as criminal could blind shoot you hundreds of feet above and behind the moving vehicle. Ridiculous! The story was rather weak. Only thing compelling was navigating the city and beating bad guys. I’m still glad I was able to 100% before my laptop gave up being useful. It was a bucket list thing. I’m xbox only and hadn’t been Spiderman since WoS. ❤❤

Although I enjoyed your review, I disagree with a lot of your points about the story and swinging of this game. In my opinion, this was actually THE BEST Spider-Man story I have ever seen. Yes, way better than the Toby Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland movies. To me, this take of Spider-Man and his world is absolutely breathtaking and beautiful. And for the swinging, this game's swinging has a lot more depth and realism compared to ALL the other Spider-Man games. That being said, the game does have its faults. But for a first game, this is pretty damn good. I love the improvements they have made for Spider-Man 2, especially the web wings, and I can't wait for it to come out.

To me it's a solid game but usually overhyped

Oddly enough, it was Gotham Knights that made me realize how weak the crime system was in Spider-Man. PS: The combat is also very…unfulfilling. PS 2: The crime system in Spider-Man 2 is still not as good as Gotham Knights’🤷🏽‍♂️
