LISITION PLEASE, Michael refused to do Motown 25 because he felt he was overexposing himself. His name was so big and he was on everything. Therefore, when Susanne de Passe Barry asked Michael to do Motown, he refused. Then Barry Gordy asked Michael to do Motown 25 and he said yes he would if only he could have a solo! Barry agreed and the rest is history. MJ was in control now! He was no longer signed with motown. He was IN CONTROL! AND NOBODY COULD TELL HIM WHAT TO DO AT THIS TIME IN HIS LIFE AND FOR THE REST OF HIS WHOLE LIFE! HE WAS HIS OWN BOSS! MJ WAS PLAYING CHESS LOL. HE HAD A DESTINY TO BE FULFILLED AND ONLY HE KNEW HOW! Just wanted u to know the truth......... MUCH LOVE😊

Marvin "Marvie Pooh" Pentz Gaye Jr. was truly a tortured genius. His faults and demons made me feel for him more. It was hard for him to live up to his legendary image but he left behind such a huge legacy that many artists in his time and afterwards STILL envy to this day some 36 years after his death. RIP Marvie Pooh. ❤

Hey Nay!!! Jan's story is yet another reminder that even if you're in a relationship with someone, who's footing the bills (whether famous or not), you 'bout better get yourself a job or some other means of financial support because "mad day" is def coming! I just wonder why it took Marvin to support his wife, his parents, his siblings, his managers, his friends, etc.? #WTF If he buys his siblings a house or car or whatever that's great but, they need to getta F'king job and take care of themselves. Bobby Brown suffered the same financial troubles with his family. He even had his wife, Whitney taking care of his parents, his children, his ex baby-muvas, his siblings, etc. When she stopped, suddenly she's the $itch!. All the #mellonFarmers need to get jobs! Jan, instead of sitting around waiting on Marvie-Poo to tell her how to put one foot in front of the other, should've been working and trying to take care of herself, if only for her own self esteem. Yes, men are supposed to take care of their churin and wife, but what if they don't? Do you just sit around and cry broke? No, get up and do something for yourself and move on from any deadbeat, Marvin Gaye or not!

Sometimes in life you have to separate the musician from the man, which is hard to do, the horrible upbringing he had its truly remarkable that he made it to the Larger than life success he had, generation's going into the future will hear his music and remember his name, just think if children grow up watching mental and physical abuse, as well as alcoholism, what are the chances of them growing up to be Dr's and lawyers, it isn't impossible, but the road is harder.

After reading zeolas book it sounds like Jan was a straight up you know what she slept with people in his band also they were divorced when he took Anna Gaye too those parties .

Zeola went in on Jan. I believe her too. Jan didn't tell everything. She certainly didn't take enough accountability.

Marvin Gaye probably confused and on drugs to bad. I did some research that Marvin Gaye didn’t like Prince , he said it’s only one Prince ,But Marvin was the prince of Motown he was confused but he is still one of the greatest artists I ever heard.

Heavy Gratitude. Ps I am so grateful my mom left my pop's due to the coke smoke. Pps Marvin is my favorite singer. Music insiders said Sexual Healing was a complimentary grammy and he deserved it back when What's Going On was nominated. Ppps Martin sang live at The NBA All Star Game. I heard Whitney pre recorded and lip synched at the Super Bowl Pppps I had my demons and battles with alcohol and I sold party favors and consumed some party favors. Only difference between my dad and I is that I don't have any children. And we didn't consume the same party favors.

Marvin was a totally hooked on drugs and he was a monster and didn’t care who he was sleeping with.. Man or woman, transgender etc it’s always been this way..They all get screwing for beats, arranging etc a song..Marvin left a great catalog of hits..What’s going on needs to be playing on everyone’s car, etc because the world is back like it’s was decades ago..I forget the name of his other song to be playing, this man was wealthy and couldn’t pay his taxes. Inner city blues. I never like sexual healing at all and they all sell their souls for fame and fortune..They don’t get to really enjoy it because they knew the price they pay to achieve that level of fame..Nay you are a awesome story telling, keep doing u and you’re going to get the success you deserve..I like how honest you are about how much you make a monthly..Be blessed 🥲 and success will get better...

Alright Sigmund Freud, all the things you say looks magnificent in words and meaning, but man does not make the judgment of other men, that God, you can say the things about him that you do because his life was a open book for all to see, so it's easy to judge, but when go in your home and close the door behind you, only you know what's going behind that closed door, not the world.
