Hi friends, we are back for Episode 17 of #songsfromhome, thanks for tuning in…It’s “Quittin’ Time, one of my favorite songs from the 1989 release “State Of The Heart”.
It's a bit different from the original recording, and this is the way I’ve been doing it in concert for many years now, in one of my martian tunings, pared back and slowed down in this way. I have always loved to play around with arrangements of older songs, changing them up often reveals new emotions, colors, and meaning that might not have been suggested by the original.
The warmth of spring has finally reached us here in Virginia, and that means a lot more time outside and the return of those particularly gorgeous twilights, my mother would call them “the magic time”…
