Mary came with all these different looks and no one ever talked about her style❗️✨💕. Mary J. BLige has always had a beautiful unique style, and the best songs. She is beautiful😍✨🌹and don’t have to show skin to do it.
I didn't appreciate her style when I was a kid. As an adult she couldn't be any further from the truth on what she speaks in her music.. This grown up people music.
They couldn't if they tired! And if they would they would be hating! Mary always put that shit on! In my opinion shes definitely the flyest celebrity! When it come to style! Swag! And clothes!
This song gave me the strength to leave a dead-end, abusive and toxic relationship after years of struggling.. Gave me the courage to finally leave. Thank you, Mary! 🥳
This tune was LIT in 2005 and it still is 15 years later in 2020. The beat is outrageously hot! I remember back on BET it was unearthed that allegedly Foxy Brown or someone was supposed to do the rap but failed to make the appearance for whatever reason so Mary called up one of her homegirls from the noggin --- BROOK LYNN!
Foxy was supposed to do the verse. Darkchild actually produced the beat around the time Foxy was working on her Black Roses album. The album, of course, wasn’t completed because of her hearing loss, so in comes BrookLynn
OMG this came out when I was over my daughter’s father. Every word she sang in this song was what I was going through at that time. I mean every word!!! Thanks Queen for the memories and the strength to bounce!!!
Why did I think this was my mom who wrote this comment 😂. My mom introduced me to Mary J Blige in 1995, when I was born. I have known about Mary and listened to Mary since I was a baby.
Here in 2019.. 32 years old & just learning this lesson. Young ladies don’t lose yourself searching for love in the wrong people. Real love starts with you first & the universe will then send it to you in due time.
I"m going to need people to starting putting some "Respeck" on Mary's name. She doesn't get a lot of credit for her style and the music she's contributed to the game.
This song is so true and real. Finding your strength to move on and give your time to someone who chooses you completely. Anything less is waste of time. period.
Ah shit!... Here we go with the queen of this and that🤦🏽♂️ You don’t realize how disrespectful that can be for others that do the same as her. Especially the ones that pave the way for ppl like her to become so successful. Ppl like you obviously forget the trailblazers that set the ground for this shit. Queen my ass. She’s definitely iconic but stop being unknowingly disrespectful
This song is so real when she say got to see my friend and family. So, many of us get into a relationship and to busy for family and friends. Don't act like it ain't you we all get comfortable.
Wow I'm surprised you didn't get 1 billion likes for that comment ,I didn't really catch that I was still on the not playing house anymore ...lol ...Good ear
COCO Lve My view is different. This is her attempt to get away from a controlling boyfriend/man. She's tired of living for her man and not being respected, he not coming home, etc.... She sings "Time to choose my clothes, choose my friends be with my family" they been askin girlfriend where you been, we ain't seen you in weeks."
You turned your back, and back I came running, but the simple fact is that you don't want me done enough lying, and crying to myself nothing left to do but move!!!

I believed that you would marry me, but now I gotta breeze I be's with LT when you come to your senses But then it's too late That's always how it be Catch me with the B's on the wheels, gizeppi's on the hills Shoulda Marc Jacob Fe Fe bagged me when you had me Next dude will gladly pick up where you left off Ice me, wife me, you ain't gonna have me Cryin', cryin', cry, cryin', cryin', cry It's time to say bye, bye, bye It's time to do something for me Don't wanna play house no more You so dumb to think that you gonna marry me I got to be out my mind to think I Need someone to carry me I've done enough cryin', cryin', cry (crying, cryin', cry) It's time to say bye, bye, bye It's time to do something for me Don't wanna play house no more You so dumb to think that you gonna marry me I got to be out my mind to think I Need someone to carry me I've done enough cryin', cryin', cry (crying, cryin', cry) It's time to say bye, bye, bye It's time to do something for me It's time to do something for me, for me, for me, for me
Its working on me right now!! Praying and listening to this is giving me the strength to finally let go and giving me the strength to do something for me...tired of crying!!
This was my “get back” song back when it came out. That whole albulm was 🔥 Now I’m playing it in 2020 😆 and this song lyrically is exactly my last situation down to promises of marriages. Whew moving on feels so good and it’s all about me right now
Jaime Kerr omg so yea this dude didn't want a relationship so I stop seeing him now I have a whole boyfriend and he telling me now he want me like bruh you had time to make me yours boy bye it was hard but I had to
My dad totally destroyed my faith in the black man, that's why I married a white man instead. Its extremely sad that he left me with such a hateful representation of the black man. I'll forever hate him for that.
I'm hooked on Mary's music. The woman brings a clear and concise message from her own life experiences with a combination of class, compassion and fire. I swear she put the hurt on this song. I will always adore her and her music. I will never get over this song. 🤗 STRA8 FIRE!!!!!!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Love it ..been chasin this fool around..thinkin he was gonna hold me down..i would follow his lead thinkin I would be the one he would keep around..smh..daumm how blind could i be..
You ain't met a Irish white women that grew up on Mary I relate to all her songs at some point in my life I don't think just black women relate can relate to other black women colour don't come into it with music
damn I remember listening to her songs when I was little now I really know what they mean. I can't believe this is my life now.... love this song though.
yazzmen3 ~ Dark Brown eyeliner (or lip liner almost black) and mocha ice lipstick~ (maybelline use to have the color) mix 😉💋(back in the day they didn’t have lip pencils in a lot of color or dark enough so we used eyeliners 😂
Mary J Blige is amazing! My #1 singer hands down since 1992, What’s the 411 Album, she always knew what we were going through through her music,..🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹 and her style and her clothes! ....Enough said! Love you Mary! 💯💯💯💯💯💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
Still love this song. My sister got this CD for me as a Birthday gift and I was chatting with music lovers who told me that this album was dope and after playing it it became one of my favorites. I jammed to this and Be Without You. Enough Cryin' became a theme for me. A few months before this album dropped I had finally graduated from a 4 year college after being forced to switch to attending part time due to health issues and being in a toxic church where many of the members wanted me to be who they wanted me to be as well as experience emotional and spiritual abuse. After grown tired of being mistreated I left after being there for 6 years and I was blessed with 2 partial scholarships and I graduated
“Been chasing this fool around thinking he gone hold me down, I would follow his lead, thinking I would be the one he keep around!” That’s my favorite part 😂🤷🏽♀️
