I understand that Uncle Albert just loves having company so much. I love having company so much too but not always. I can be solitary. There are also times I love and enjoy being alone.
Mrs. Darling, Wendy, John, and Michael: Oooooooooh! (they run over to Uncle Albert and Bert crying on the floor, comforting them) Poor Uncle Albert and Bert! Mr. Darling: Poor Uncle Albert and Bert? (jumps to his feet in anger) This is the last straw! (points out the door) Out! Out, I say! Michael: No, Father, no! Mr. Darling: (grabs Uncle Albert and Bert by the shirt collars and drags them outside, with Michael clings onto Bert's leg, but Mrs. Darling picks him up, and Michael lets go of Bert's leg)Yes! There will be no more crying from these 2 in this house! Michael: (waves goodbye) Goodbye, Uncle Albert and Bert. Uncle Albert and Bert: (wave goodbye while crying)
Mary Poppins 1964 Version: Mary Poppins: This has gone far enough, Uncle Albert! Uncle Albert: I'm just having a good time laughing and laughing makes me float! Just leave me, Bert, Jane, and Michael alone! Mary Poppins: I can't do that! They have seen too much! A lot of you have! Uncle Albert: It doesn't have to be this way! Mary Poppins: I have no choice! Times have changed! Getting anyone down isn't enough, anymore! Uncle Albert: By telling us it's time to come down?! Mary Poppins: I'll tell you to come down when it's time to go home! I'll silence anyone who gets in my way! Uncle Albert: No! Constables: Mary Poppins! Mary Poppins: Constables? Jane: I don't know the rest of you, guys, but I spotted several big mistakes! Mary Poppins: But how did you?! Michael: Let's watch my favorite part, again, shall we? (plays broadcast with a recording tape) Mary Poppins: I'll tell you to come down when it's time to go home! (3x) All people: (gasp) Mary Poppins: No, no, everyone, I can explain! You see- Constables: I'll get her! All right, come with us, nanny! Mary Poppins: What? What are you doing? Take your hands off of me! You can't arrest me! I hope you're happy, Uncle Albert! You broken a promise for real! Now me being a nanny as a job is dead! How can everyone behave now? Things you do to have fun up on the ceiling would only get worse because of you!

Subtitles: "Keep an eye on *him,* Bert." 5) Bert: "I'll sit with him a while," Subtitles: "I'll *stay* a while." 6) The captions completely ignore the phrase, "Well, Albert." 7) Bert: "It's about me granddad, see..." @@marvinthemaniac7698 Uncle Albert is just jovial old man who seems to enjoy comedy a lot and cracking jokes in his old age all the while sharing them with guests.
@@marvinthemaniac7698 Only the author knows. Sad to say, she's no longer alive. And she hasn't been very fond of her work being adapted by Disney but learned to tolerate it. In the sequel, it seems that Mary has quite an extended family outside Uncle Albert.
Frankly, I'm disgusted at Uncle Albert here. I mean, feeling upset about your guests leaving is one thing, but having a crying fit about it is another thing altogether.
I think there's a deeper reason for him crying over his guests leaving. Mary Poppins is his only known relative, whom he doesn't get to see very often. Whenever someone comes to visit him and it comes time for them to leave, it's a painful reminder of his isolation.
