Couldn't agree more, bloody annoying. It's clear the interviewer was not a fan and wanted to close her down at every opportunity. Reminded me of a heckler at a comedy club.

This interview was made before I was born and I can see now that she was right! Society has gone down the drain! And people are more unhappy than ever before as a result

@@realitywins9020 your comment is interesting coming from someone a generation behind me. Mary was ridiculed by the chattering classes and cruelly mocked especially in the media. But she never gave up fighting despite the unbelievable persecution she was put under. Her greatest fear was actually for the children and women of this country. She foresaw the terrible consequences of ‘pornography on tap’ and influence it would have on adolescent minds. She felt women were so demeaned by it and that is one view I can agree with.

I agree - think she was being deliberately obtuse.

Turns out she went on to become an ardent feminist here posing as a neutral interviewer which she was anything but.

@@abalone7718 That's from a time when people were still more concerned about the quality of their language. Today, BBC English means we're supposed to pretend that all accents are of equal value. It seems their only language standard is that there is no standard at all anymore.
