I don't know how NI expects ppl to figure this stuff out, I've read the manual, paid for a 8 hr "class", watched Boris's 3 pt. "How To Do Everything In Maschine", umpteen times, and I still don't know Jack, I find myself frustrated and make LOTS more music with a 5.00 dollar sample app and free DAW on my smart phone 🤳📱😂
I would love to be able to load a kit and just lock in a sound, then load another kit in the same group but the lock sounds don’t get replaced. So essentially a lock feature. I have to load another group to look at other kits then copy and paste a sound over into the original group. Only downside to this is it overrides any routing into my other daw I.e Logic Pro.
That was the video… the sample wasn’t on beat but when you put it on an empty slot in “audio” it automatically time stretches your samples so that you can chop a bit easier
Yeah, no doubt… this isn’t chopping a sample at all. This is about preparing a sample to chop at the project tempo. There are other ways to achieve this through time stretching but this is an accurate no hassle way to get your sample to tempo so that you can get to the chops.
@henryinvisible Ok, can you show me how to go to the chops after importing a sample this way pls? I would appreciate, even though I use serato sample 2.0 with stems inside both the mpc software and the maschine, I would like to be able to chop samples inside maschine without always having to use serato sample. Thank you in advance.
