Dude I dont get why we need to go through all that process, for me as soon as turn the sample in a audio module it gives me the right BPM.. Is there something I dont get ?
It's so you don't have to rely on software doing it for you, this way you can use any sampler sequencer and be all good relying on your skill. Plus it's generally not gonna line up right if you just throw something in there unless you're using a loops from a library that are already nicely trimmed.
this is a incredible video that Simplifies this time stretch technique in machine.. i can never explain this w 100 percent accuracy and plus Blezz makes it too easy to miss this as he explains it in a fun way - blezz up !
Dont use the tap function. Take a piece of your song and go to the audio editor > slicing. trim the loop perfectly (so it's 1 or 2 or 4 bars) your bpm wil be right 2 decimals after the comma. try it, you'll be surprised works super fast and is super accurate.
Good tip! Learning how to do it by ear first is beneficial because you wont have to rely on it if you need to translate to other machines. The tap function is to get a rough estimate and then you lock the loop dead on by ear.
YOOOOOO B! MASCHINE STUDIO IS MY PRIMARY WEAPON OF CHOICE! didn’t know u could sample in different modes! I always use the sample button, chop manually or edit slice, zone loop it.....your technique really sparked my neuro pathway to new roads of sampling methods....much luv from Milwaukee, WI KEEP EM COMING BLEZZ
Just bought maschine 2 days ago. I’ve been producing for 8 years already and I’ve done countless remixes but I’ve been wanting to take my face out of the laptop so I’m trying maschine out. I was about to give this shit up completely because I wasn’t able to figure out beat matching samples on it. Thank you!!!
Yooo congrats on the new world of fun and thanks for reaching out man! 😁🚀 Gotta have some patience! Highly recommend my course if you want a ground-up no nonsense walkthrough 🙄😁
blezz bro what is the instrumental you are playing in this video in the background the one that starts at 0:04? i really wanna hear it sounds so good man, was going thru all ur videos to find it!
The song is called "Min Ganja" by Allyawan, you can find musicvideos for the original and the remix here on RU-vid or all streaming platforms if you just wanna listen!
Dope vid bro! Please share how you screen record and get the audio from maschine. I've been trying to figure it out and can't. I've downloaded obs and soundflower but I can't get any sound to record. Please share!! I'd really appreciate it thanks man
I use quicktime to record the screen, very simple but then I also convert the file from floating frame rate otherwise it goes out of sync. For the sound I line it out to my Zoom H1 recorder from my soundcard.
!!!!!!!DAWN-DRIS!!!!!!!! props from Berlin, WI ... First video I found of your's was the "Blezz & OP-1 by the waterfall"! (been following for the past year)
@@principiahypnotica6427 Thank you! It's called "Min Ganja" by Allyawan and it's up on Spotify and other streaming platforms in a couple versions - the original and a remix with General Knas. Both of them have music videos here on RU-vid as well.
Maybe totally off topic, but since you are from Sweden, don't you use or have used reason from propellerheads, since they are also a Swedish Co? Or what other daw's do you use besides maschine (I also use maschine 75% of my music making time, just because it's fast, intuitive and love how the nks format works with the browser.) besides that I sometimes use reason, ableton and have recently gotten reaper and love it as a 'classic' (linear) daw. Anyhow love your vids, keep em coming for the purples and be DANGERUS ;)
Off topic is always on topic once you go there! I used Reason alot during version 2-2.5. Back then I had the Ensoniq EPS 16 plus and I got bored of the sequencing from time to time. It's come a long way since then tho 🚀 Now I use Logic Pro X for tracking vocals and when I'm doing more non-linear stuff. Reason is amazing but I tend to work way faster editing on the Maschine.
love this video especially this uncovering the ease of use of maschine especially when it comes to audio module. This audio module has cost me hours of try and error and i ask me each time what the hell do the developers: do they hate their users of love them, i'm not sure. :-)
I just resorted to timestretching and pitch shifting in BEATMAKER and sampling that onto the Maschine pads. Is it so hard to make this easy Native Instruments!?!?!?!?!?!?!
Yo Blezz! You're the man for making this dope video. However, I got stuck when you went to the audio module. I have the Maschine Studio i couldn't find the audio module anywhere. I liked how you were able to control the sample when using this. Please help me continue my sampling quest for greatness and answer asap....Basically, Where is the Audio Module or it's counterpart on Maschine Studio?! Thx
@@BlezzBeats I mean they have separate bpms.... for example I'll set my drums @ 120bpms set on maschine......bring the sample in at 70bpms and it play in sync
@@stephenbridge6838 Ok so if you use the audiomodule it will automatically stretch everything to the bpm you've set. If your sample is one sound (not chopped up) all you need to do is hold shift and press browse and switch from Sampler to Audio. Enter the bpm of your sample, and set the length of the pattern. If its a sample you chopped up the easiest way to do it is to first resample your chopped sample and then repeat the process above.
Lol exactly! Pitching a sample up or down will change the speed as well. Lower pitch = wider soundwaves = more time and vice versa. So its either than when you're matching a sample with your tempo, timestretching, or chopping it up into notes and filling the gaps. Thats pretty much it when you're aligning samples in space n time.
You can indeed and thats a great solution, once you have your tempo locked down and stretched theres no reason not to. Except if your whole purpose is to speed up and slow down while you play the beat back
I'd say yes and no it depends on your purpose, if you just want quick automatic loop features Serato Sample is a great solution. But if you just learn how to use Maschine you can really get in there and manipulate samples on a manual level very efficiently.
@@miIitaryminded haha im constantly sarcastic but cant tell when someone else is, hit me up with some of them autism diagnozeze lmao. Thanks for supporting bro!
