Masi with Latik Sauce
This kakanin is also called peanut rice ball that is one of the specialties in Cebu. This recipe is made of glutinous rice flour; It is like a tikoy, butchi or mochi that is filled with peanuts and muscova or brown sugar. The way to cook the masi is like cooking palitaw; you just need to boil it in water until it floats. In this video we will make it more special because we will add latik sauce.
ingredients:
4 cups glutinous rice, flour
2 cups water
filling:
1/2 cup toasted peanuts, chopped
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tbsp sesame seeds, toasted
Latik sauce:
2 cups gata
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 cup langka, strips(optional)
