Hellbound Iscariot Not really actually it's stupid blonde who said, "I am a dancer and a model I am a triple threat." And George just followed her count by saying, " landlord and a dad I am a triple threat". Btw you are right it should be double threat.
@@Neku628 yeah just like he's never good at listening 2 Carmen's feelings, he clearly favors Max but I think it's funny because he also isn't good at growing big balls 2 match his big head LMFAO!!!!!!!!
Re-watching the show, I started to look at the dynamics between George and his kids and realized Carmen is the most like him. She's stubborn to a fault and tougher than she looks despite her having a more privileged upbringing than George. I don't think Max could've eaten the burrito out of a dumpster to prove his point.
Yeah for sure. Max was always babied by his mom the most (not that Carmen wasn’t too) but Carmen can be such a brat sometimes even through all George does for her. It may not be the best life but he does the best he can to give them a better life
As an adult, I actually agree with George in this episode. Carmen didn't want just to decorate her room, she wanted to do what she wanted bc she consider herself an "adult" if she didn't got her way then she would throw a hissy fit. It wasn't what Angie called "torturing" Carmen, it was giving her a reality check. Carmen expected to have the freedom of being an adult but still, have the privilege of not handling the responsibility of an adult and living off her parents. Sorry but that's not how adult life work, you may have the freedom of not reporting everything to mommy and daddy, but you also don't have mommy and daddy to pay your bills, that freedom comes with responsibility. Being an adult isn't just about partying and going to bed late. It's about being responsible and independent for yourself. Even as an adult you still have rules to follow, you can't go to work whenever you pleased unless if you wanted to be fired, you can't pay your bills whenever you wanted unless you wanted to have interseted added on.
Exactly. Being an adult is hard work and the things children are taught to do are to help prepare them for adulthood. Before any child can expect to be treated like an adult, first he or she has to learn how to act like one.
I'm 33 years old and i have my own place and have a decent job even i pay rent and everything else i still have mom and my stepdad to help me out from time to time. It took me a very long road to get where i am and i have God and my Mom and stepdad to thank. ☺
@@mystic1410 Woman? She was a child. A stupid 15 year old. She was definitely being a rebellious brat. Though I do think there could have been a middle ground with her and George. She definitely can't be going out whenever she wants but I didn't see anything wrong with her wanting to remodel her bedroom.
Mary Walker It depends on how she wanted to remodel it like if she was just going to start throwing out her dresser or getting a new bed and then I think she hast to run up to her parents she’s only 15 if she was 18 it’s a completely different story because then she’s technically an adult She was a brat and I honestly think it’s her mothers coddling that caused this
@@mystic1410 I agree with what you're saying but I think George over reacted. They could've gone about it completely different. And yes Angie cuddles them too much, I see agree with that.
@@bobtaylor3945 true. But it can be hard not being an only child. You're affected by others becuase you aren't by yourself. Its OK if Carmen had trouble with sharing but she still couldve had a better attitude.
@@leroykevin to be fair Carmen's date was scheduled FIRST. But Max's education was more important. If I were Carmen I'd be upset by the inconvenience too BUT I wouldve had a better attitude and made that sacrifice I didn't ask to make even if it was hard 😂
Well actually masiela lusha ( the girl who plays Carmen) is a poet/ author and she does stuff... The lady who plays Angie has switched at birth and Idk what the guy who plays max is doing... George is just george
@@fantasma1221 it’s a show about 2 girls who were switched at birth and it’s pretty obvious when the girls have different hair colors and styles from their families
I always thought it was funny how it was like "Ill pay you a hundred a month" and the rent goes up 50$ its like the extra cash doesnt even matter, she gains an extra 50$ a month and has to live with that girl, xD
@@christinasavannah7992 Albanians aren't clones. Hopefully your smart enough to realize that they have variations in eye color, hair, height, and what other physical attributes
@@Faery_Witch422 she was 19 going on to be 20 a quick Google search would have told you that do your research She's playing a 15 year old girl and in the context of the show I am right. FBI: open up By the way it was a joke you know what that is right?
Listen to the sympathetic response from the laugh track when Carmen claims she got the burrito out of the trash at work. I remember on a website someone said something like, "One of the most human realistic responses from a laugh track happens when Carmen said she got a burrito out of the trash. The laugh track GROWLED at George!"
I can imagine once carmen graduated high school & moved to an apartment & then she remodeled the apartment pissing off the landlord & carmen saying she pays rent & that she can do whatever she wants living there
If she belittled me like she belittled George towards the end , both Barbie and Carmen would be sleeping out side , I'm like a quadruple threat land lord , dad ,young Mexican boy & don't tolerate that kind of shit xx
You could easily get taken to court IRL for physical assault, especially since Carmen is a minor in this show & gotten jail time. Under CA law a landlord must give a 30-60 days notice even if they damage your property. P.S I know that this comment is 3 yrs old.
@@hollywoodhispanic4549 George pulled Taylor's hair & threw her out. That's physical assault & trust me hitting your kids doesn't always work. I knew 2 kids that have been hit & they've hit their parents back. I also knew 1 person who had their mom hit him & he still rebelled against her. I already explained that it's illegal to throw out a tenant just because they're late on rent, which I explained in my previous comment. Now let's go back to the Taylor situation. She was terrible roommate, but if had a brain George would've gotten arrested again(George got arrested for punching his deadbeat dad) & a lot of prisoners IRL would've gone after him. The reason why is because is that is they would've had the thought that could've been their daughter.
I actually ran into the same problem with my parents. I ended up holding up for so long they say just said fuck it take your money back and leave us alone.
Now the minimum is $15.00 an hour. And for a room (not an apartment) rent is $600. The average i want to say. So its almost doubled since this time frame.
I dont think the prices have gone up, I think the value of the dollar is slowly declining because capitalism like how in tf2 a key is worth 60 ref now...when I first saw that I was like HELL YEAH IMAGINE HOW MANY COSMETICS I CAN BUY WITH ONLY 2.49 but in actuality it's because the economy is really bad and the value of refined has plummeted because of idlers and whatnot quality vs quantity my friend
Trust me, it doesn't always work. I know @ least a few people who had their parents hit them & it didn't change their behavior at all. There were 2 kids that I know who had their parents hit them & they hit them right back. Then 1 person who got hit with a belt multiple times & still didn't listen their mom. P.S I know that this comment is 3 years old.
Hi Carmen, IMAX, Benny. George and Angie he's amazing. Lopez house I love you too kids. And I love you, Mom. You're a funny you cool and amazing coulis. I love you. She'll
3:35 Carmen: "...Or Taylor can find another place to stay, You can go back to being my Daddy and I can still do whatever I want." 💀 First of all, George and Angie are too Soft. My Mother/Uncle would've whooped me if I had said this, they're not fans of Blackmail lol. Second of all, My Mother would've just been like "Go find somewhere else to live. I'm not gonna tolerate this." Yeah kids these days have it easy, even I'm gonna admit that.
Thought the same thing, watching her expression while doing that to george made me want to smack her in the face and say "forget it, wanna do what you want so damn bad? Go pay rent and live somewhere else" No other place would've offered her this cheap of rent as george did, and she woulda been homeless and on the street in a week. notice how right as angie shows she is also against carmen suddenly carmen stops acting like a brat and listens, why? Because she knows for a fact she can't handle it by herself, hell the only reason she survived in san francisco is because one of "chingys" dancers found her and saved her ass. Angie needed to start being a mom and not apart of carmens cheerleading squad. Carmen; "I still have that bag packed!" Angie; "Fine. Then go get it" Carmen; "..You dont mean that.." Angie; "Uh, yeah. I do."
George isnt soft. As much as he tries to discipline Carmen Angie always has to intervene and say please leave her alone she's just a girl. I couldn't stand that
No, that was the agreement between them, so Carmen was right & hitting your kids doesn't always work. I know a couple of people who have gotten hit by their & they still didn't listen to listen to them. At least 2 kids I knew actually hit their parents back & then there were some ppl I knew that still did what they wanted even after their parents hit them. P.S I'm aware that this comment is 3 yrs old comment Edit I know someone who was kicked out they never wanted to return to their parents house.
Yes but George still had a BETTER point. Carmen never PLANNED to have someone help her. She got lucky. George was trying to teach her a lesson about being an adult. When Carmen leaves home is she gonna get that lucky again? Relying on others is NOT how you grow up and become responsible.
2:16 because at least when you’re in school you are sure more knowledgeable of making more money with better tactics because being a model and then don’t pay bills all the time because you only make as much as you can from gigs but when you have a career like in business in the marketing or real estate etc. you’re making more than that she won’t have to always do a lot more to get enough call having brains.
Too bad George didn't know about the no sublease & no roomate agreement clause that any "landlord" would have. Must imagine most parents don't either if they have this arrangement.......
you guys may consider her as mexican but she is not. Masiela Lusha was born in Tirana the capital city of Albania. Her family moved to Budapest, Hungary and Vienna,Austria.and when she was seven years old they moved to Michigan, then..
Old Account It's the episode that came after the one where she ran away. She returned home and expected her independence, so George started having her pay rent to teach her a lesson.
George was stubborn as hell. He wouldn't even let her redecorate her room how she wanted to. I mean that is petty as fuck 🤦🏾♂️🙄. I don't understand what issue he had with her just redecorating her room to her liking
@@Rleon760 According to their agreement Carmen is allowed to get a roommate, which was why George bit his tounge & yes, you are allowed to have a roommate when you move into the building. If you want to talk about illegal, George illegally kicked Carmen out because she was late on rent. I already researched this. Under the state of CA law a landlord has get an eviction notice of 30-60 days. He physically assaulted Taylor later on in the episode by grab her hair & threw her out & IRL would've been thrown in jail. Yes, Taylor was a bad roommate & yes, she went out drinking & partying, but as I already George would've went to jail for assault. P.S I know that this comment is 1 year old.
@@brucelee5585 stfu it’s 6 months in Cali to evicted someone and it’s illegal to kick out a child underage called child abandonment don’t start with legal shit kuz I’ll win trust me
Carmen shouldn't take Taylor as roommate one she's to hard to live with she parties and stuff And of course she was going to take advantage of Carmen by eating her food spending her money and using her phone. Borrowing her clothes. What I would say if I were her mom it's okay roommate but you wanna make sure their nice going to pay half the rent half the bills what your lifestyle is like you said in ad for someone do a background check who isn't alcoholic or smoker. Who would work
