This blues/rock beauty by Reverend delivers the perfect vehicle for jazz, country, rockabilly and blues thanks to the acoustic overtones of a full-size semi-hollow body and Bigsby tremolo. But, it's the two P90-style pickups that make it versatile enough to play just about anything you have your heart set on.

I have one of these things...Fun guitar! Looks so ridiculously retro (loosely modeled on something old I suppose) and has a great sound, all for a really decent price.

We're definitely a fan, it's a great sounding guitar for a great price. Glad to hear you love yours too!

Do the pickups hum a lot with high gain? I've heard these aren't that noisy as far as p90s go.
@MasonMusicRocks
@MasonMusicRocks 6 лет назад
They will definitely let you know that they're a p90, but I haven't found it to be excessive. Plus, just look at it. Would ya?

I give the clean tone two thumbs up! Are those P-90s low in output?
@MasonMusicRocks
@MasonMusicRocks 2 года назад
Thanks! I’m not sure I know what you mean by “in low output” can you clarify?
@MrEddie-gf3yg
@MrEddie-gf3yg 2 года назад
@@MasonMusicRocks Higher output means that the pickup will push a given amp into overdrive or distortion earlier. Lower output means the pickup will push an amp into overdrive/distortion at a slower rate. That being said, however, a pickup with lower output has an advantage over higher output pickups by having more clean and bright tones.

@@MrEddie-gf3yg wow - I am laughing at myself now because I just re-read your first comment and realized I must have been temporarily dyslexic. I read your comment to say "in low output" instead of "low in output" and thought you were asking if there was a different mode you could switch them to or something. To answer your ORIGINAL question - Reverend advertises their p90's to be slightly hotter than a traditional p90, but they are still a lower output than their humbuckers, etc. Sorry for the confusion!

@@MasonMusicRocks doesn't that Bass Contour knob affect the output impedance? I'm not totally savvy on their tech specs, but that might the case for most of their guitars.

Great guitar, BUT...The Bigsby is a Vibrato , NOT a Tremelo! What's the difference? A Vibrato is a mechanical effect while a Tremelo is an electronic effect. Get it? Got it? Good!!!

great guitar, but the amp kills it. clean is okay, but please do not use orange to promote a guitar. specially in OD mode
@MasonMusicRocks

meffke ha- not an orange fan eh? I guess to each his own. I’m actually a fan of orange more for the overdrive than the clean tones. I like fender and vox for cleaner sounds more... what kind of amp do you play?
@SkinnyStupido

@@MasonMusicRocks at the moment a fender machete, befor a jcm800 marshall. i like the machete, he's clean as a fender supposed to be, and i can get it as dirty as i need. i use a laney cub12r for jamming, but it's broke now, need a fix. (PS i play the amps with a clubking and a F telecaster )
