When Eric looks at Christine, he loses his "tough-guy" gate and becomes honestly sentimental and emotional. He is literally trembling with love, and I think Madam Giry can sense it.

I JUST REALIZED HE WANTED HE WANTED PIANGI TO LOSE WEIGHT SO THEY COULD LOOK AS SIMILAR AS POSSIBLE SO THAT NOBODY WOULD SUSPECT ANYTHING WHEN HE TOOK HIS PLACE

This is definitely one of my favourite scenes from the movie because he points out the flaws we all see in the other people, then shows that even the woman he loves has flaws. But he's so much more gentle towards Christine that you barely notice it.

I love how the No One Would Listen music plays in the background. (for people who don't know what that is it is a deleted scene from the movie) It plays right before he yanks the engagement ring.

Christine was so full of love when he said he was her teacher

This scene means so much to me! I think it really shows the love between Phantom and Christine. 1. He waves the sword at everyone except Christine, (he puts it away when he starts to talk to her). 2. At first she is afraid (for good reason, we know he's nuts) but when he really looks at her (3:12) the music shifts and she calms and moves toward him on her own. 3. She is shocked when he rips the necklace off, and for a second almost looks guilty. I think if Phantom was more gentle with her and slightly less intense the could have been together. But his seperation from society is what caused a lot of his issues and he never learned any better.

The first time I saw the play was when I was 10 with a friend, but it was a play. When the chandelier fell... WOW.

I'd like to image the conversation in which the phantom had to go out and explain to a trailer why he needed so many different suits and masks.

I absolutely adore how he's just so mocking and aloof and subtly insulting everyone like: Carlotta...You're a terrible actress. Piangi...Man, you really to lose some weight. Firmin, André...You two are *fools.* Chrisine...You're ok at singing, but you still got a long way to go. (flashback to Christine singing think of me) You can hear the smirk in his voice, and I like how the music at the beginning of his song is timed perfectly with his walking, it makes me want to describe his steps as menacing. HE'S JUST SO DAMN COOL IN THIS SCENE, OK?! Also... *swishes dramatic red cape*

One of the best scenes in the film. He sounds and looks so menacing and oddly, I'm here for it!

Completely off topic, but HATS off to the costume designer for this film.. AM I RIGHT?!?! Also, is the score that plays before "Why So Silent" available?

I wonder what would have happened if Eric didnt see the ring (or she didnt have it). What would she have responded with?? Cause it looked like he had her under his wing untill he snatched the ring.

I have watched this many times and each time,I notice something else. The young dark male dancer at the front is wonderful. Once one has noticed how brilliant he is, it’s difficult not to watch him at the beginning of this video. x

I have said this before but I love Piangi in this scene. "You insulted my Spanish rose! Prepare to die!" If Mr SexyPants had not waved that weapon, he could have got his butt kicked, like in the cemetery. Damn, why Piangi had to die!

Honestly if they do another US tour of Phantom they definitely need to merge “Why So Silent” with “Notes” because the notion of Erik just roasting everyone to their face is way more badass.

After i watched this for the first time, I felt really jittery? And my heart was beating SO fast, I-i don't know what came over me. I guess the Phantom gives me the chills. (but in a good way ;) )

I just noticed something. . . Almost two minutes into it, Raoul is just like "Bye Christine. Your on your own." I mean isn't he supposed to be protecting her???? Not leaving the moment the phantom shows up!!!

They should do a love never dies film with the same cast

I like how the musician's score jus suddenly changes to that tune when the phantom appears and the musician's jus gonna let the rest die with them

"Every face a different shade..." I don't know about you guys but I'm just seeing a lot of white, black, gold and silver... there isn't exactly a wide difference of shades here.
