Old comment but Tali and the Shadow Broker have history. Tali tried to sell her intel to the Broker but Fist betrayed the broker for Saren. Tali ends up giving the intel to Shepard rather than the Shadow Broker. That probably made him sore. The Broker intended to kill Tali after she gave the intel to him but of course Tali never knew this even after the deal fell through.

Consider the information in Shadow Broker's dossier on Tali, I'm start to wonder if Fist really turn to Saren or just pretended to. On one hand, one of his agent hire Wrex to kill Fist. On the other hand, there was this message. To: Fist From: Shadow Broker I'm forwarding you the intel on a quarian named Tali'Zorah. She wants a meeting, and she's got valuable intel. Get her someplace safe, and avoid any intelligence channels. Spectre Saren Arterius is after her. When you get the intel, kill the quarian and any of our operatives who had access to the data. This information cannot be compromised. Top-level security. You'll be compensated for the loss of any of your people.

That part was weird to me. Wouldn't have taken much to add something for them. Handing Miranda to her father, for example. And even Jacob could have had some line about maybe being able to get access to a supply of the toxic fauna from his father's 'exotic vacation' coordinates for experimentation. But nope, nothing.

Jacob used to be part of a secret Alliance group called the Corsairs. Even Shepard didn't know about them, so it sounded pretty shady and secretive. Maybe they should have had the Broker reference that instead of just recycling the same line they used for Miranda.
