I just purged the base. I am sure of two things: One: Not all Collectors were on the base at the time of the purge (listen closely to radio chatter in London-there is a report of a squad that was killed by Collectors). Two: The Collectors had a radiation-proof bunker in a farther edge of the base.

I always though Javik was somewhat of an ass hole... but funny and slightly love able. I like when he's at the party in the Citadel DLC and talks to Zaeed and say."I like Zaeed, I thinks he is a prothean in disguise but I do not understand why he chose to "damn" his God" it cracks me up everytime
+Sextus70 yeah! that's the main reason it's okay that he is an ass hole lol he has much reasons and such a different upbringing and culture than any other major species (with the exception of Krogan). The fact that he tells us that he decides to kill himself after the mission (if you let him use the memory shard) is devastating because I would've loved if we could hear more about his people from his perspective.
It's not even just his upbringing. It's the fact that he wakes up after 50,000 years and sees a bunch of primitive races ruling the galaxy. It'd be weird to see and you wouldn't really respect them. It'd be the same for any human that woke up in the future and found cats and dogs could now talk and they ruled the world. Still one of the best squadmates in the game. If not the best. It's a crime that he was day one DLC. So many people never got to see him.

commentor5 Yeah, I get that. The Protheans as a race did seem to be assholes. It was either their way or your race died. I still understand some of his anger. His race left warnings about the Reapers and nobody in this cycle seems to have done anything to get ready for them. I also wondered why Shepard never said to him that he tried, but the Council didn't take his warnings seriously.

3 Years ago, my cat died, and I was very sad... I called my friend so she could comfort me, she told me to just go get another cat then. "I was like... WTF? that was family to me..." she goes "it's just a cat Allan". Then it dawned on me, I told Javik about the situtation, he told me that cat's were much bigger in his cycle, and he was in shock about how much they have changed and became more diversed. But when I brought up about my friend, his response was "Just throw her out of the airlock."
Due to everyone labling people names on mediocore allegations. The true meaning for plenty of words have been lost to most people. -Emo is short for Emo-tional, edgy is a insult that is derrived from trying to be too cool.
That's the thing about mass effect, I missed so many of the little moments. They are what really make the game that and the characters. Play every mission with every character, different combinations of them, so many different dialogues, its impossible to see it all unless you play the mass effect series like 1000 times.
So much quotes on airlocks and the story about his former team makes me think: something really sad happened with them, involving an airlock. Maybe the end of an indoctrinated companion?
+AceOfClubsHUN Who knows, it is very likely he suffered a loss like that. He surely had to endure a harsh life being part of the last forces of the Prothean Empire, fighting a lost war against the Reapers. That makes me understand and feel some empathy towards his character... despite the fact that he is an asshole (but a funny one).
The part with kirrahe and javik is one of my favourite. Javik is one of the funniest squad mates in the whole mass effect series. Him along with garrus.
I read that the Javik DLC wasn't worth it. Seeing these youtube clips gives me the sense that it is essential. I'll be sure to pick it up before my next playthrough.
I’ve never played the original Mass Effect trilogy and while waiting for the legendary edition to come out I’ve been tiding myself over with all this funny clips and vids. I can’t wait to play this game.
Javik may not be the best squadmate to have but hes worth bringing for some missions. When you go visit the Asari homeworld in the 3rd game... bring him.. trust me on this one. Also Garrus is best bro.
Javik, Wrex, Garrus, Mordin, and Grunt = Best Squadmates ever. Best Female squadmates goes to Tali, Jack, and of course Liara. If you want to laugh all the time, bring Garrus and Javik with you in every mission.
I remember when i played the javik citydel dlc when we are on the studio recording a vid and then a hanar offend javik and tell him "in my cycle we use your people as appetizers howd you like to be serve cooked or fried" It was funny cause i thought all hanar loved protheans xD
Citadel DLC is the Greatest DLC of all time. So much fan service and so much to do in it too. It was truly a beautiful perfect send off for the Mass Effect Trilogy. I am so deeply sadden how bad they fucked up Andromeda. And I liked the characters a lot too. But I want the Paragon and Renegade system back.
Nah Garrus will always be the best companion, but having him and Javik together in Mass Effect 3 is awesome. Liara is nice to have if you have romanced her, esp since she is by far the most broken companion in the game because you can just have her cast singularity non stop and go do biotic explosions with her constantly. Even on Insanity Mode its OD as fuck.
